History of Chaozhou Museum
Chaoan County Museum was established in 1959, located in the original Confucius Temple in Haiyang County, and co-located with the county cultural center and library. 1973, the museum resumed its activities, and held an exhibition of Tang Dynasty cultural relics in the Buddhist Scripture Building of Kaiyuan Temple in Chaozhou, with exhibition rooms for ceramics, wood carvings, bronzes, tooth carvings, stone carvings, calligraphy and ancient paintings. 1977 65438+ 10 Reopen the Hanbi Building. This is a two-story revolutionary site. 1927, Nanchang Rebel Army went south, arrived in Chaozhou in September, and established a democratic regime of workers and peasants in Chaozhou. Comrade Zhou Enlai and the leading organs of the Rebel Army are stationed in the Hanbi Building of the West Lake, and the headquarters of the Royal Third Division is also located here. Seven days before and after the Battle of Chaoshan, Chaozhou people called it Chaozhou Seven Red. To commemorate the first anniversary of Premier Zhou Enlai's death, the building resumed the display of seven red materials in Chaozhou, named Chaozhou Red. 1In September 1977, Chaoan County Museum was established independently.1In June 1979, Chaozhou City was established again, and the county and city were separated. 1February, 980, Chaoan County Museum transferred some personnel and cultural relics, and established Chaozhou Museum with Hanbi Building, and the county museum was unified as Chaozhou Museum. The museum was moved to Gong Xue, and the Hanbi Building was under the jurisdiction of the museum and became a revolutionary memorial hall.
