1, the characteristics of natural light
Landscape photography has always been a favorite subject for photographers, and natural light plays an important role in landscape photography. From morning till night, as the day goes by, the light is very different. Many landscape photographers like to shoot around sunrise and at dusk in the morning. This time, not only the light and color are ever-changing, but also a golden scene often appears. In landscape photography, if we can make full use of the light effect commensurate with the light and shade, we can make the works have attractive light and shadow interests, such as the shadows and projections produced by natural light on grass beaches, water surfaces and hilltops in low setting sun, and the sparkling snow under natural light. The cold backlight and long blue shadows in these scenes on the screen can make extremely touching photography.
2. Several commonly used lights and their effects
The landscape photos taken along the light are clearer, with less light and shadow, and the difference between light and shade is relatively small. The scenery shot by this light must be bland and lifeless.
The side light is well defined, which makes the scene three-dimensional and rich in color. Side backlighting and backlighting can best express the texture, tone and depth of the scene, and at the same time, they can outline a clear outline, which makes the front and rear scenes distinct and good at expressing space and atmosphere. Therefore, in addition to sidelight, it is most appropriate to use backlight or sidelight when taking landscape photos.
Many photographers believe that the most diligent natural light is before sunrise or after sunset. At this moment, the sky presents a light and soft color, which is the most expressive natural light in landscape photography.
Many photographers like to shoot in sunny weather, thinking that sunny weather with good natural light conditions is easy to succeed. Actually, it's not exactly like this. Rainy, foggy and snowy weather is often a rare opportunity to shoot. In rainy or foggy days, or before sunrise or after sunset, when there is no sun, the light is scattered. Some show the smoke from cooking in mountain villages and the scenes in rural fields, which are actually taken on cloudy days, with great atmosphere and emotional appeal.
3, shooting lights in rainy days
Rainy days are characterized by water reflection, and the scenery in the rain reflects strongly. When it rains, everything seems to show different colors because of the diffusion of light. This diffusion of light magically mixes and fades colors that often appear too bright in sunny conditions. Especially when taking color photos, umbrellas in people's hands often make the rainy scene colorful because of different colors. If you can skillfully use the reflection in the stagnant water, it will be easier to add interest. If you want to shoot the scene of raindrops falling, you must choose a darker background, and it is more appropriate to choose side backlight or backlight. In rainy days, the light is dark and the exposure time is often long.
4. Photography will stop in foggy days.
In nature, fog provides us with many beautiful and poetic pictures. Fog scene is characterized by hazy scenery, extremely soft tone and rich layers under natural light irradiation, and the light is brighter than natural light. It is more effective to shoot the fog scene in the sun by backlight, which gives people a unique sense of space depth. Scenery changes quickly in fog, so you should be good at grasping the lens in the light movement. Generally speaking, fog often appears in sunny mornings, and the sun is often covered by flowing fog, which is changeable and has low visibility. This is not a good time to shoot. Once the fog flutters and spreads slowly, it is a good opportunity to shoot the scenery. There is a way to photograph fog as moonlight. If you take black and white photos, you can add an orange or crimson filter. Its characteristic is that it can greatly deepen the blue sky and make the normal scenery of the sun shine like infrared rays. When shooting, it is necessary to reduce a certain amount of exposure to make the negative film underexposed. Generally speaking, the aperture can be reduced by one or two steps. When taking color photos, you can add a dark blue filter to make the scene reach the atmosphere at night.
5. Waterfall photography lamp
Generally speaking, the sunset or backlight is the most glorious and stereoscopic photo of the waterfall, especially the high-speed shutter is full of jumping and vitality. However, due to the plane of light, Guang Shun lacks stereoscopic effect, and the lighting effect is relatively dull, so it should be avoided as much as possible if necessary.
6, cave photography lamp
There are many caves in some tourist attractions in China, and there are also some natural caves and cave buildings in northern Shaanxi. Generally, the hole is illuminated or reflected by natural light, so photographers can take very unique photos by using the natural light of the hole.
