The building consists of a concrete cuboid and a wall intersecting it 15 degrees. The cuboid is embedded with three spheres with a diameter of 5.9 meters. This independent wall divides the space into a chapel and an entrance. There are plain concrete walls on both sides of the corridor, and the top is composed of glass arches and H-beams. There is no wall barrier before and after the profile road, and fresh air can walk freely in this space, with green trees and distant seascape at the end. Through the frosted glass vault, people can feel the sky, sunshine and green trees. The light inside the church is directional, which is different from the light evenly distributed in the corridor. The more the ground inside the church goes to the priest's podium, the more it is called stepped descent. In front is a cross-shaped wall with glass embedded, so that the light incident here appears as a cross of light.
The church of light has many characteristics. /kloc-The 0/5-degree oblique wall is unique, and it is even more famous for its light cross, which makes the church of light more mysterious and sacred. As Ando said in my works, "light is always an important element of dramatic space", and much less money than Langxiang Church determines that it embodies the sacredness of the church from the internal space. But Tadao Ando himself said that the biggest feature of the church of light is
"In fact, no one knows the Church of Light."
"Many people say that cross-shaped lights look good."
"I care about everyone's equality. In the Vatican, the church stands high and the priest stands higher than the audience. I hope that in the church of light, the priest and the audience are equal. In the church of light, the steps go down, making the priest stand as high as the sitting audience, eliminating the unequal psychology. This is the essence of the Church of Light. " He believes that the church of light without stairs is different from the western church, and the sense of equality between the church and the priest is the greatest beauty of the whole church of light. This also reflects Ando's concern for people's life in architectural design.
Church of water: The church of water is located on the flat ground surrounded by mountains in the north of Xizhang Mountain in Hokkaido. From June 65438+February to April of the following year, it was covered with snow and was a beautiful white clearing. Tadao Ando and his assistants dug a 90-meter ×45-meter artificial pool in the field to get water from a nearby river. The depth of the pool is carefully designed, so that the water surface can subtly show the existence of the wind, and even a small breeze can ripple. ?
Facing the pond, two squares of 10m and 15m are superimposed on the plane. Surrounding them is an L-shaped long wall. Walking outside can't see the swimming pool. Only by turning 180 at the opening at the end of the wall can visitors see the water for the first time. In this scene, people cross a gentle ramp to reach the entrance surrounded by glass. This is a box of light, and four independent crosses stand under the sky. The glass set off Der Blaue Engel people's meditation. The whole space is full of natural light, which makes people feel the solemnity of religious etiquette. Then, people walked down the dark spiral staircase from here and came to the church. The pool spread out in front of us with a cross in the middle. A simple line separates the earth from the sky, the secular from the god. The glass surface of the church facing the swimming pool can be completely opened. People can get in touch with nature directly and hear the rustling of leaves, the sound of water waves and the singing of birds. The sound of nature makes the whole place seem more silent. In the integration with nature, people face themselves. The scenery in the background changes with time.
Compared with the church of light in shaping the mystery of indoor space, the church of water pays more attention to the integration of natural scenery and architecture in outdoor space. So most of the area of the whole church is occupied by ponds and natural scenery, or buildings with natural scenery. In addition, the cross shape revealed in the church window is Ando's application of cross elements in church design.
When we were at school, we only made models of these two buildings, because compared with other buildings, the church of water and the church of light are relatively easy to make and easy to produce results, which is the first model we made.
Church of the wind:
Wind Gallery: The wind gallery is a straight pipe, which unexpectedly goes straight to the cliff and ends in the sea. Instead, the right door near the end connects the main hall of the church in a very hidden way-the communication mode of the atmosphere, the division of steel structure simulates the colonnade effect, the semi-closed space formed by ground glass and the drop caused by the terrain, which lengthens the space-time distance and blurs the sense of scale. The sea breeze runs through and is refreshing-hence the name "Church of the Wind".
The corridor of the wind cannot be simply defined as a channel, because it has the elements of columns. ?
The sequential characteristics of colonnade make full use of the rich light and shadow and the realistic changes brought by the structure itself, which makes the architectural expression narrative, interpenetrating with nature and harmonious-but due to the translucent treatment of frosted glass, the vertigo of light and shadow is greatly weakened. In addition, Ando once made the wall as thick as the pillar in order to avoid the simple interference of the pillar to the space. Through such trade-offs, Church of the Wind 3 has greatly increased the depth of the passage and accumulated a feeling of awe and reflection with every step forward.
The cross of the shadow:? Cross the corridor, step down the stairs, turn right 90 degrees, open the steel door and enter the main hall. ? The main part contains two conceptual spheres with a diameter of 6.5 meters, which constitutes the "pure space" in the master's mind. Turn 90 degrees again, and you can face the altar-due to the limitation of terrain and vegetation, 180 degree turn of the church entrance. The twists and turns of the entrance movement route are in sharp contrast with the straightforward and concise expression of the corridor, which enriches the spatial form. ?
The most noteworthy thing in indoor space is the expression of introducing light. If we compare it with the "Cross of Light" of Ibaraki Church in Osaka, perhaps we can call the French window in Liu Jiashan the "Cross of Shadow"-the former works miracles by pouring light from cracks, while the latter aims to achieve the same effect by splitting projection. ?
There is also the "Changjuji" sandwiched between two buildings, so the building itself is long. Ando isolated the building from the outside world when he designed it, but he opened a patio in the middle of the building, so that the building could have its own sky in the city without contact with the outside world.
There is also the Japanese Pavilion at the Seville 1992 World Expo, which, like this year's China Pavilion, has a shadow of a bucket arch. Actually, I'm a beginner, and I don't know much about some things.
