The concept of carbon neutrality
Carbon neutrality means that enterprises, groups or individuals calculate the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions directly or indirectly generated in a certain period of time, and offset their own carbon dioxide emissions through afforestation, energy conservation and emission reduction, so as to achieve zero carbon dioxide emissions.

The calculation of carbon footprint is the first step to realize carbon management. Through the emission source inventory and data collection of all possible greenhouse gas emission sources in enterprises, the emission sources of greenhouse gases in enterprises can be understood, and the collected data information can be quantified. Carbon emission report verification is a formal written statement provided by a third party, which is used to guarantee the data information obtained from the inventory.

Through the inventory of enterprise emission sources, we can know the source and quantity of carbon emissions of enterprises in detail, and formulate a series of effective measures to reduce carbon emissions caused by enterprise production and operation.

Carbon emissions are offset by purchasing voluntary carbon emission reductions, with voluntary as the basic principle, that is, neutral trading methods. The realization of carbon neutrality is usually completed by buyers, sellers and trading institutions. As a new form of environmental protection, it has been adopted by more and more large-scale activities and conferences, which has promoted green life and production and realized the green development of the whole society.

Carbon neutrality and international development;

In 2006, the New Oxford American Dictionary named "carbon neutrality" as the word of the year. The main reason for being selected is that it has gradually gained more and more public support from a concept originally advocated by environmentalists, and it has become a feasible greening action, which has attracted the attention of the competent departments of the US government.

On June 29th, 2007, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCP) held a meeting in Paris. The five-day meeting was scheduled to release a report on global climate change after the end of February 2. The original version of the report predicts that by 2 100, the global temperature will rise by 2 to 4.5 degrees Celsius and the global sea level will rise by 0. 13 to 0.58 meters.

The original version of the report also mentioned that 90% of climate change phenomena in the past 50 years may be caused by human activities. Some experts also said that it is possible to change the wording in the final version of the report, and the possibility of rewriting is 99%. In the 2007 edition of the New Oxford English Dictionary, "Carbon? The word "neutral" is officially included in the dictionary.
