After the proletariat gained political power, it transformed the private ownership economy and various economic components, and entered the period when the socialist economic component was the main body of the national economy; It is a period when the socialist economy gradually defeats the capitalist economy. The inevitability of the transition period, from capitalism to socialism, is bound to go through a transition period, which is determined by the characteristics of the emergence and formation of the socialist economic base. In the historical development before socialism, the economic relations of the new society were basically generated and gradually formed within the old society. Whether it is the revolution in which the feudal landlord class overthrew the slave landlord class or the bourgeois revolution, its task is to seize political power, establish a political superstructure that is compatible with the new economic base that has emerged, and clear the way for the further development and growth of the new economic base (see Economic Base and Superstructure). The socialist mode of production is based on public ownership of the means of production. Public ownership and private ownership are fundamentally opposed, and it cannot be produced within capitalist society (see ownership of means of production in socialist society). After the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat, only with the help of the power of state power and the economic functions of the state can the proletariat destroy and transform the capitalist economy, establish a new socialist production relationship, consolidate and develop this production relationship, occupy all social and economic positions, and become the dominant production relationship. In order to accomplish this task, the proletariat must carry out socialist transformation of private ownership economy and create necessary material and spiritual conditions for this transformation. This will not happen overnight. It needs a special transition period. Marx said: "There is a revolutionary transition period from the former to the latter between capitalist society and capitalist society, and there is also a political transition period corresponding to this period.
