"Human Geography" of Henan University belongs to the School of Geography and Environment. "Human Geography" requires graduates to master solid and extensive basic theories and methods of human geography, have a solid foundation in geography and planning, have a high level of foreign languages, have extensive knowledge of economics, sociology, management, architecture and engineering technology, master the ability of comprehensive analysis and regional analysis, and use the skills of remote sensing and GIS technology to understand the latest professional development trends at home and abroad.

Discipline Construction of "Human Geography"

Aiming at the frontier of geography development and centering on the development strategy of the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River and Henan Province, the College has carried out the construction of Central Plains Economic Zone, Central Plains Urban Agglomeration and Zhengzhou Airport Comprehensive Economic Experimental Zone, and formed five research directions: human geography, economic geography, geographic information system, environmental geography and ecological geography.

In the past three years, he has undertaken more than 70 scientific research projects such as the national key R&D plan, the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation. He won 48 scientific research awards at or above the provincial level, among which the achievement of "Research and Application of Key Technologies of Earth System Scientific Data * * *" won the first prize of Henan Science and Technology Progress 2013; Published more than 80 papers/kloc-0 in SCI, SSCI and EI. Ranked eighth and seventh in the total number of papers published in Journal of Geography in 80 years and in Geographical Research in 32 years.
