In the first year of the graduate school, 1985 enrolled 44 first-time master students and 2 first-time doctoral students. After that, except for 134 in 1985, the enrollment scale did not exceed 100 until 197+08. /kloc-0 exceeded 100 students in 1998, and then increased year by year, but the speed was slow. Until the fifth graduate work conference was held at the beginning of 2002, the leaders of the graduate school made an overall plan for graduate education in our school and put forward the development goals in the near and medium term. In that year, it enrolled nearly 200 students, exceeded 500 students in 2004 and enrolled 643 students in 2006. Up to now, as of March 2007, the Graduate School of our school has awarded 2,545 graduate degrees, including 544 doctors and 200 masters1person, which has trained a group of backbone talents for agricultural science and technology in China and made positive contributions to agricultural development in China.
Actively take effective measures to continuously improve the quality of training.
1, integrating academic resources and strengthening discipline construction are the basis of postgraduate training. Since198111,the national examination and approval of master's and doctor's authorization points has been carried out for ten times. Since the first batch, the graduate school has actively organized relevant research institutes to declare disciplines around the overall planning of discipline construction in our college. From the first batch of approved 15 master's programs and 3 doctoral programs, to the existing 56 master's programs and 44 doctoral programs, as well as the current 7 doctoral programs and 8 master's programs, they have all been approved by the State Council Academic Degree Office. At the same time, two master's degree authorization points were added to obtain independent enrollment qualifications. The rapid development, constant updating and adjustment of disciplines have laid a solid foundation for postgraduate training in our college. 2. Pay close attention to the quality of training and strictly control teaching and degree. From June 5, 2004 to 10, our college successfully held a working conference on the quality of postgraduate education in Beijing, which has guiding significance for comprehensively improving the quality of postgraduate education. At the same time, in order to improve the quality of teaching and training, the graduate school has increased the proportion of early doctors (from the initial 5% to the current10%); According to the needs of discipline construction, constantly supplement and improve the training program and syllabus to meet the needs of postgraduate training; In 2004, the Teaching Committee was established to strengthen the supervision and guidance of teaching work; In 2005, a degree sub-committee was set up to try out the "double-blind" marking method. The online evaluation method of teachers' teaching quality has been implemented; Formulated incentives for outstanding teachers and management measures for workload assessment of full-time teachers; At the same time, actively strengthen communication with various scientific research institutes, pay attention to the management of postgraduate training process, and increase the supervision and management of postgraduate training links such as opening report, mid-term evaluation and thesis defense, early attack and early selection. Through a series of effective measures, the quality of postgraduate education in our college has been effectively improved. 3. Strictly select tutors, constantly improve the level of teachers, strengthen the construction of teaching staff, and improve the quality and level of teaching. Paying attention to the coordinated development of disciplines, as well as the professional structure and age structure of disciplines, has increased the teacher's lecture fee and the proportion of expert teachers in our college, from less than 50% at present to 65%. In addition, it has established a relatively stable cooperative relationship with famous universities and scientific research units, selected high-level well-known experts to teach for a long time, and formed a team of full-time and part-time teachers with sufficient quantity, excellent structure, high level and good quality. Tutor is the key factor affecting the quality of postgraduate training. At the beginning of the establishment of the graduate school, there were only more than 40 tutors (5 doctoral tutors) and more than 1,000 tutors. Among them, there are more than 390 doctoral supervisors and more than 0/000 master supervisors. More than 90% of the tutors have doctoral degrees, and most of them are academic leaders and research backbones of various institutes. With the implementation of talent strategy in our college, especially the introduction of first-class and second-class talents, the comprehensive strength of graduate tutors in our college has been further improved. In order to continuously improve the level of tutors and guide graduate students' ability, graduate schools constantly improve and tighten the selection conditions for doctoral tutors, such as having a doctoral degree, research projects with certain funds, and postgraduate training experience. At the same time, the post training system for doctoral supervisors has been strengthened, which provides conditions for improving the quality of postgraduate training.
Strengthen cooperation and exchanges at home and abroad, and actively expand the development space.
Since its inception, the graduate school has been able to recruit and train graduate students independently, actively cooperate with relevant institutions at home and abroad, and follow the goal of "being first-class in China and internationally renowned". At present, in the postgraduate education run by domestic scientific research institutions, both the enrollment scale and the training quality are second only to the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Actively explore the internationalization of talent training, from the initial "welcome" to the current "cultural exchange, joint training and cooperative education" trinity international exchange platform, forming a new pattern of "complementary advantages, mutual promotion and coordinated development". In 2006, she was qualified to recruit foreign students. At present, we have established a "sandwich model" of "Sino-Dutch" cooperation in running schools and "Sino-Canadian" cooperation in running schools through international cooperation project research, inviting foreign experts to give lectures, jointly training doctoral students and exchanging students. At the same time, some training activities have been carried out through MBA, EMBA and HACCP projects. In 2003, our college prepared and organized the first "Sino-Dutch Agricultural Biotechnology Expert Summit", which greatly enriched our school-running experience and promoted the internationalization of our graduate education. Strengthen alliances and expand high-level talent training bases. In 2006, our college signed an agreement with Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences to jointly develop postgraduate education. The cooperation between the two universities has achieved complementary resource advantages and expanded the talent training base of our college, which has been highly valued and evaluated by the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and has been reported to the the State Council Academic Degree Office for the record.
Conditions are constantly improved to meet the needs of scale development.
Before 200 1, the graduate school only had Building No.25 and the existing postgraduate building integrating office, teaching and student dormitory, with a construction area of only 8,500 square meters. With the strong support of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Graduate School now has four buildings with a building area of more than 27,000 square meters. At the same time, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the construction of 15000 square meters student apartment building, plus 65438 Malianwa. In addition, since the establishment of the institute, the graduate school has been conducting graduate education in a self-financing manner. In 2006, it finally got the support of the Ministry of Finance, providing one-year training funds for graduate students and reducing the burden of running schools. The most important thing is that our achievements in running a school for more than 20 years have finally been recognized by the state, which will greatly promote the rapid development of graduate education in our college.
