Major newspapers reported "new business and new technology", 1998 "PLA medical information" reported "PLA general hospital"-"percutaneous catheter double umbrella method" to close atrial septal defect interventional therapy. Family Doctor reported that the "double umbrella method" made heart surgery unnecessary. 1999 "hospital construction news" reported "several new technologies developed by chief physicians in Wang Guangyi". Report on Hospital Construction in 2002 On June 4th, 2002, two cases of congenital heart disease complicated with membranous ventricular septal defect were successfully cured by blocking with positioning umbrella in the Department of Cardiology of our hospital. People's Daily reported that "ventricular septal defect was successfully treated without thoracotomy"; Health newspaper reported that "mushroom umbrella occludes ventricular septal defect"; "Science Times" reported that "it is effective to treat congenital heart disease without thoracotomy in PLA General Hospital"; Science and technology daily reported that "the treatment of congenital heart disease brings good news, and ventricular septal defect does not need to be treated by thoracotomy". He has written more than 90 papers. He applied for 2 patents and participated in the writing of 7 books.

He has won three third prizes in military science and technology, first prize in excellent audio-visual teaching materials of the whole army 1, second prize in national excellent audio-visual products of science and technology 1, fourth prize in armed police science and technology 1, and third prize in military science and technology 1.

He is now a correspondent of Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine, a reviewer of congenital heart disease group in English edition of Chinese Medical Journal, and a reviewer of cardiovascular disease in Journal of PLA Military Medical College.
