Superman, who first appeared in the inaugural issue of Action Comics (June 1938), was jointly created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
Superman was born on Krypton, formerly known as Kal-El. When Krypton faced destruction, his parents sent Carl, who was still in his infancy, to the earth by spaceship. The spaceship crashed in Smallville, Kansas, and Carl was discovered by the farmers Kents, who raised him under the name of clark kent.
When he grew up, Clark went to metropolis and became a reporter for the Daily Planet. He has an innate ability, a strong sense of justice and compassion. In every crisis, he wears blue tights and a red cloak, incarnating Superman to fight bravely and save the world.
