Liu Shilong was born in a small intellectual family in Xinshitai Village, Shitai Town, Duji District, Huaibei City.
Liu Shilong was sent to the Drama Department of Southwest People's Art Theatre by the army in 195 1 year. A year and a half later, he was recommended by the Southwest Military Region to study at the Beijing Film Academy of the Central Film Bureau. 1953 graduated and was assigned to Dongying as an actor. After 1953, he starred in more than 40 films, among which Li Yunfei in Red Rock, A Niu in Third Sister Liu, Wang Cheng in Heroic Children and Liu Minghua in Mom I'm Getting Married have great influence at home and abroad.
