Resume Ruicheng, Shanxi
As a big province of cultural relics, I can meet hundreds of years of historical sites everywhere when I walk here. In addition to Pingyao ancient city and Datong, the capital of the Northern Wei Dynasty, there are some small counties that surprised me, such as Ruicheng in Hedong area.

Perhaps many people are not familiar with this small county. After all, it has no special presence in Shanxi or China. But as a humanistic traveler who likes historical sites, when I punched out many cultural relics in this city in one day, it was my surprise to find that it existed like a treasure.

First of all, let's talk about the town of Ruicheng, which is located at the southwest end of Shanxi Province and belongs to Yuncheng, Shanxi Province. It has a long history, is the birthplace of the Chinese nation and civilization, and is also the source of the Yellow River civilization.

Station 1: Ruicheng Yongle Palace recommended index: five stars.

After coming to Ruicheng, Shanxi, the first scenic spot worth punching in is Yongle Palace, which can be said to be the most important historic site in Ruicheng. Because of the preservation of large ancient murals, it was included in the first batch of national cultural protection units.

Even though the Yongle Palace murals we saw today were restored to the northern suburbs of the county through protective relocation, many buildings and murals have been completely preserved. When you walk into the Sanqing Hall, you will see a huge mural of the Yuan Dynasty. The whole mural depicts the magnificent scenery of immortals and gods, with 286 figures, which is the best mural in China in Yuan Dynasty.

You can also see murals depicting Wang Zhongyang's life in Chongyang Hall. Besides the deeds and legends of Lv Dongbin, you can also see the earliest existing mural of the Yellow Crane Tower in China, which has become the most exquisite mural in China.

Second stop: Wang Guangren Temple Recommendation Index: four and a half stars.

Not far from Yongle Palace, there is a relatively small scenic spot that is almost forgotten by many tourists, but it is actually a monument with high status. This is the second oldest existing wooden structure in China, namely the Wang Guangren Temple in Tang Dynasty.

Wang Guangren Temple was built in 83 1 year, which is several decades later than nanzenji, the oldest existing wooden structure in China. The building scale of Wang Guangren Temple is not large, only a five-bay hall is reserved, or it seems a little too brand-new because of reconstruction.

Fortunately, its wooden structure is still a relic of the Tang Dynasty, with huge arches, solid forks and no architectural features such as halls and columns, which can also let you see the style of wooden structure in the Tang Dynasty.

Third stop: Ruicheng Chenghuang Temple Recommended index: four stars.

It can be said that Ruicheng County is small, but the city is full of historical sites. For example, the Chenghuang Temple next to Ruicheng Bus Station is also listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. However, compared with Yongle Palace, Ruicheng Town God Temple is also very small, with almost no tourists.

Ruicheng Town God Temple is also called South Temple because it is located in the south of the city. It was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. Now, you can also see the main hall in the Song Dynasty, the pavilions, sacrificial halls, sleeping halls and apartments in the Qing Dynasty in the Yuan Dynasty. It can be said that it is a surprise for you to see the architecture of four dynasties at a time.

In addition to ancient buildings, statues and stone carvings of the Northern Wei, Northern Zhou, Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties can also be found in the Chenghuang Temple.

Of course, as Ruicheng with a long history, there are not only the three scenic spots mentioned just now, but also the Liang Qing Temple in Ruicheng, the site of the Western Houdu, the brick tower in Shousheng Temple and the site of the ancient Weicheng. In short, if you like cultural tourism, Ruicheng will definitely become your favorite tourist destination. (Author: non-stop, life lies in walking, the journey needs to be recorded! )
