Resume:
Some achievements have been made in Carboniferous biostratigraphy and chronostratigraphy in China, coral taxonomy and paleoecology, Bangwana facies stratigraphy and paleogeography in western Yunnan and Southeast Asia. Comprise that following step: determining the deposition rate and astronomical date by using the internal growth line of coral, and restoring the paleoenvironment accord to the colony development characteristics of coral; According to conodont fossils, the age of the gravel-bearing Dingjiazhai Formation in Baoshan area, western Yunnan is determined as the late Early Permian, and the age of the gravel-bearing strata in Wana phase of Pangang is accurate and reliable, which can be used as a reference for the study of the strata in Wana phase of Pangang. In the study of late Paleozoic coral fossils in Baoshan area and Changning-Menglian belt in western Yunnan, Gondwana area and Tethys area were divided by evolutionary biogeography model. This paper systematically summarizes the Carboniferous biostratigraphy in China, which provides reference materials for domestic and foreign scholars to fully understand the research trends and history of Carboniferous animals and plants in China. Based on Laibin section in Guangxi, the Middle Permian coral fauna in southern China was studied in detail, and some corals were revised, and some new taxa were established, emphasizing individual development and intraspecific variation. The study on the biodiversity and extinction model of Carboniferous-Permian coral fossils confirmed the secondary extinction phenomenon in the late Permian.
