[Edit this paragraph] Analysis

On the afternoon of 201April 19, Director Wang Xiugen of the Monitoring Department of Taizhou Earthquake Administration introduced in an interview that the lower Yangtze fault block of the lower Yangtze plate to which Xinghua belongs and Yushu in Qinghai are two completely different plates, and this Xinghua earthquake has nothing to do with the Yushu earthquake in Qinghai, let alone its "aftershock". Regarding the so-called "earthquake cloud" photographed over Xinghua two days ago, Director Wang said that the word "earthquake cloud" has not been recognized in the mainstream scientific and technological fields, and it is mostly related to meteorological anomalies and has nothing to do with earthquakes. Director Wang also said that although the magnitude of Xinghua earthquake was not high, the residents felt the earthquake more obviously because its focal point was shallow, especially in shallow earthquakes. Under normal circumstances, earthquakes with magnitude less than 5 are not destructive, and there has been no earthquake with magnitude more than 5 in Jiangsu since 1997.
