I graduated on 20 1 1, two years earlier than you, and now I have worked in Puhua Beijing Office for nearly a year.
The following are my personal views on your situation:
1. The first sentence is correct. English is really better, especially if you have no other advantages. Although after coming to work, you will find that most of the places where you need to use English are mainly internal mail, English versions of operating systems and office software, and English fluctuation analysis of some projects. In fact, the requirements for English are not so high and spoken English is rarely used. But there is no way. Your English level is still very important in online application, written test and interview, especially in certificate and oral English.
2. It really depends on the school. For example, I personally graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University, and some of my colleagues came back from the National People's Congress, Tsinghua, Beihang University, Beijing Normal University, Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, or from studying abroad. Of course, some schools are a little less famous, but at least they are basically the same.
As for why I look at the school, I personally think this is a small vanity problem of the enterprise. For example, given the same salary, students in Tsinghua and two universities are willing to work. Which one do you want to choose? For example, if you are the boss, you can tell the audit clients that our audit team is all talents who graduated from two schools, and our team is all high flyers who graduated from Tsinghua. Which is more convincing to customers and which is more conducive to charging higher audit fees? Needless to say.
On the other hand, the reason is that since students from good schools can enter a better university in the senior high school entrance examination, they are naturally either diligent or naturally smart, and only a few of them are admitted by luck. However, whether they are diligent or naturally smart, most of them are born and are not easy to change, so choosing students from good schools is also a guarantee for their future work ability.
You're right, good schools also have students who don't work hard; Almost all schools have hard-working and smart students, so are you confident that you can be better than the students in famous schools in all aspects? Have you done anything to prove this to the interviewer before? We'll talk later.
In short, if I am the boss, I can't figure out why I don't choose students from famous schools and choose students from unknown schools with the same salary and interview results.
It is also right to have unlimited majors. I am a Russian major myself ... There are many colleagues who are as professional as me, so I won't list them one by one.
To tell the truth, compared with auditing, you are basically zero-based. Do you know the accounting standards and auditing procedures? Business acceptance, audit plan, control test, effectiveness test, walkthrough test, detail test and importance level. Do you know what they are talking about? In fact, these are not difficult. I think this is also one of the main reasons why the four strokes are not limited to majors. The most important thing is to have better learning ability and better comprehensive quality.
Finally, what I want to say is that you say you are eager to study, you say you work hard, and you say you can do it well as long as you are given time. What about the evidence?
If yes, write it on your application form, such as the internships you participated in in famous enterprises, such as the scholarships you won at school and the club activities you organized, such as the various accounting-related qualifications you obtained. If not, it will be really difficult to write a resume. ...
Although you must be very clear about it yourself, let me sum up your shortcomings:
Non-prestigious schools, poor English, CPA didn't take several exams in advance, and lacked social practice and internship experience. The first and second problems are the biggest.
Of course, you can write all four online applications with the mentality of burning your bridges, and maybe even break into a written interview. In this case, your admission has little to do with your school background, but mainly depends on your interview performance and the interviewer you meet.
Generally speaking, although you really want to enter PricewaterhouseCoopers, I want to tell you that your chances are slim. I only blame you for waking up too late. If you had scored more than 600 points in CET-6 and other certificates that could fool you, if you had passed CET-6 in advance when you went to school, you wouldn't be so sad now.
Of course, it's not too late after all. As long as you are willing to work hard and have an enterprising heart, of course, personally, you can't be too stupid. Success will get closer and closer to you. I don't just mean Puhua.
Finally, I want to say that in fact, Puhua is not necessarily as good as you think. A blessing in disguise is a blessing in disguise. What you can't get is always the best. But maybe many years later, when you look back, the miss of that year is the beginning of your future success. This sentence is not to comfort you. There are many opportunities in life, and you still have many choices.
Finally, I wish you a big personality explosion in your last year and find your ideal job. This sentence is a polite expression.
