In 2005. Wu Dong Railway is the local railway with the longest one-time investment and electrification mileage in China. Its east-west direction is located between Baoshen Railway and baotou-lanzhou railway, which is the connecting line of the two trunk lines, filling the gap that there is no railway between Longhai, Baozhong, Baolan and Baoxi, with a length of 670 kilometers from north to south and a width of 300 kilometers from east to west. Wu Dong Railway started construction on May 6th, 2005. The project started construction on May 1 2005 with a total investment of 3.2 billion yuan. Track laying began in June 2006 and was completed on April 30, 2007. It was completed and opened to traffic on June 5438+1October 5, 2008.
