Rich in content and huge in quantity, it can be called the source of historical materials in Song Dynasty. However, due to many editing errors, it has been difficult to understand.
Liu ling, deputy director of the Institute of Ancient Books Arrangement of Sichuan University, said that this book is also one of the most difficult ancient books in China. There are many fractures, scattered, repetitions and errors in his manuscript, and his writing is full of errors, deviations, extensions and errors. Now it can be used for academic research after decades of proofreading by experts from the Institute of Ancient Books of Sichuan University.
In the 1990s, the Institute of Ancient Books Arrangement of Sichuan University cooperated with Harvard University and the Institute of History and Language of Academia Sinica of Taiwan Province Province, and the Institute of Ancient Books of Sichuan University was responsible for proofreading and produced the electronic version of Song Yao Ji Yuan. In 2009, the Institute of Ancient Books of Sichuan University reached a cooperation agreement with Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House. Based on the above-mentioned electronic version, the Institute of Ancient Books of Sichuan University was updated, refined, refined and processed, with a view to becoming a collation of ancient books with high academic level. There are about 15000 proofreading notes in the electronic version of Song Collection, while the proofreading version of Song Collection has reached more than 33000, and the original proofreading notes have been added, deleted and rewritten in many places.
