1984 graduated from Fuzhou university, and 1992 visited the Department of Pharmacy of Showa University in Japan with the support of the International Exchange Fund. 1994 received a scholarship from the Japanese government and transferred to Tokyo Metropolitan University to pursue a doctorate. 1997 received a doctor's degree in engineering, and stayed in school to teach in the same year, teaching civil servants in Tokyo. 1992 was awarded the outstanding young chemistry prize in chinese chemical society, the flow injection analysis progress prize in 2000 by Japan Analytical Chemistry Society, and the new century prize in 2000/kloc-0 by Kanto Branch of Japan Analytical Chemistry Society. In 2000, he was selected into the "Hundred Talents Program" of China Academy of Sciences, won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 20001,and returned to work at the end of March 2002, mainly engaged in the research of new methods and instruments for environmental analysis.
