Interview with Shen's former residence's modern prose
Zhaoan, south Fujian, is located at the junction of Fujian and Guangdong. In the early Tang Dynasty, Chen Yuanguang established Zhangzhou, where Nanzhaobao was established, which was called Nanzhaochang in the Song Dynasty, Wanzhu House in Nanzhao County in the Yuan Dynasty and Zhaoan County in the Ming Dynasty. It is a famous hometown of folk culture and art in China, calligraphy and painting in China, childhood in China, overseas Chinese and Taiwan Province compatriots.

Since ancient times, Zhao 'an's style of writing has flourished, and calligraphy and painting are popular, and it is known as the "Zhao Dan". When the author walks in the small streets of Zhao 'an ancient city, lingers in Paifang Street, walks into the Eight Immortals Teahouse and the ancient wood root carving shop, and visits the earth buildings scattered in the countryside, there is always a thick book fragrance and mellow Mo Yun floating around.

Autumn in Zhao Dan, the sky is crisp. Taiping Town Propaganda Committee drove us to Taiping Town Village to visit Shen's former residence. It has long been said that Zhaoan's land has the highest selenium content in the province, and it is the "selenium capital of China Strait". Along the way, the rolling and magnificent mountain of lights and winding streams flow through Taiping Town and surround Shaq Village. We couldn't help stopping, standing on the hillside and looking around. Oh, the green trees and fruit forests all over the mountain are amazing. Taiping Town is really a veritable "land of flowers and fruits"! In the 1950s and 1960s, local people used large-scale production methods to cultivate ten thousand mu of fruit, ten thousand mu of forest, ten thousand mu of bamboo and ten thousand mu of camellia oleifera base, which set off a famous "peaceful wind" in the whole province. Nowadays, the people of Taiping Town have planted more than 60,000 mu of selenium-enriched plums on this "selenium-enriched" land, which has created a new "selenium-enriched wind". You see, the green plum orchards are full of mountains, like waves, like thin waves, permeating the rolling Shan Ye. It can be said that "plums are too safe and selenium is infinite"! Every year, in the blooming season of plum blossoms in the twelfth lunar month, thousands of Bai Mei flowers bloom, and they are fragrant. The fragrance of mountains and plains makes people admire the purity and absolute tranquility of this village. ...

When the car stopped at the village, Shen Lixian, the grandson of Shen, showed us around Shen's former residence. To my surprise, the former residence of a generation of lacquer painting masters turned out to be an ordinary Hakka residence. Shen Lixian said that Shen's former residence was built by his great-grandfather Shen Ruiqi in 1900. It covers an area of more than 60 square meters from northwest to southeast. Plus the second floor attic, the construction area is about 120 square meters. Shen Lixian said that grandpa was born on New Year's Eve, and his great-grandfather thought it was a good omen that "the stars are shining high and the world is prosperous". Therefore, when his great-grandfather named him, he changed the word "Hu Yun" from the traditional substitute character to "Wen Fu". The former residence has a history of 1 16 years and has been listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Zhao' an county.

Standing in the front yard of your former residence, you are greeted by a plaque inscribed by Master Guan Shanyue in March 2000. Walking into the former residence, Shen's portrait and biography are hung on the mottled wall of the living room, and the inscription "Zunqi" by Wang, a student of Shen and a master of arts and crafts in China, is hung on the right. I think the word "respect for lacquer" should be the common feeling of every visitor and appreciator! The bedroom on the left side of the living room displays photos of Shen and Danghe, photos of him with artists of the older generation such as Chang Shuhong, Wu Zuoren, Linlin, Cai Ruohong, and photos of his life when he returned to his hometown to reunite with his family and sketch. These precious photos show Mr. Shen Lao's unswerving study, teaching and creative career.

Shen is the pioneer and master of modern lacquer painting art in China, and also the first educator to put lacquer painting art on the forum of colleges and universities. 1906 In February, Shen was born in Zhao 'an County, Fujian Province. 1In August, 935, Shen went to Japan to study by boat from Tanggu. In Tokyo, he visited museums, art galleries and various handicraft shops in Tokyo. While marveling at the exquisite modern Japanese handicrafts, his national pride was strongly aroused. At that time, he lamented from the bottom of his heart that lacquer art originated in China, from Shang Dynasty to Qin and Han Dynasties, and from Tang and Song Dynasties. In the wartime, this traditional lacquer painting technique, which originated in China, has actually been lost in China, while Japanese craftsmen developed modern Japanese lacquer art on the basis of traditional lacquer art in China. So, he decided to give up painting and engage in the research of lacquer craft. Under the introduction of Mr. Cai Yuanpei, he entered the Song Tian Lacquer Art Research Institute, studied under the Japanese "national treasure" Matsuda Liu Quan, specializing in lacquer art. He tried his best to find Lu manuscripts that had been lost for a long time in China, repeated experiments according to the technological procedures recorded in them, and borrowed China ancient lacquerware and modern Fuzhou lacquerware from Japanese museums. After returning to China, his elaborate "bodiless vase", "ear vase", "goldfish dish", "24-corner placenta removal" and "Dunhuang pattern lacquer art" caused a sensation in the national art world. Xu Beihong wrote that they were "the first person in the arts and crafts industry in the past 500 years" and praised: "Shen Jun wanted to revive China's lacquer art, so he chose the China pattern exclusively, and his masterpiece has been put on the modern art stage in China. Shen's lacquerware, Zhang Daqian's traditional Chinese paintings and sculptures are known as the "Three Treasures of Chengdu".

Out of the former residence, we went to Shen's five grandsons' homes to "treasure hunt". At the home of his eldest grandson, Shen Lixin, Shen Lixin took out a Chinese painting "Bamboo" made by Mr. Shen Lao in the mountain city of Chongqing at the age of 76. The four bamboo plants in the painting are flourishing and tall, caring for the five bamboo shoots beside them, and pinning Shen Lao's thoughts on his descendants thousands of miles away. In the home of his fifth grandson, Shen took out the disc lacquerware created by Shen Lao, the Dunhuang copy painting, and the "ink inkstone" presented to Shen Lao by Qi Baishi before his death. Looking at these "national treasures", I jokingly asked him, "Are you going to transfer or auction grandpa's works?" Shen Hanhou smiled and said, "Grandpa left a lot of lacquer paintings and calligraphy and painting works in his later years, which were kept by our five brothers respectively. In the era of commercial operation of the market, we declined many inducements and still retained the precious legacy left by Grandpa. " In the home of our fourth grandson, Shen Lihua, we got our wish to see the "original" of Shen Lao's Dunhuang lacquer painting-Guanyin. The dignified face, swaying posture and gorgeous makeup of Guanyin Bodhisattva on lacquer painting are radiant and lifelike. At this point, I can't help asking again: "Did Mr. Shen Lao teach you the lacquer art technology?" The third grandson, Shen Lixian, said with a smile: "Our father and son have not passed on grandpa's craft. When I was a child, I once told my grandfather that if he didn't teach us lacquer painting techniques, it would be lost in the future. At that time, my grandfather smiled and told us, just kidding, I am full of peaches and plums! " Yes, in the half-century lacquer art teaching, Mr. Shen Lao has trained a large number of successors and backbones in the field of modern lacquer art creation, such as Yang Fuming, Xiao, Uncle Li, He Haoliang, Wang and Chen Enshen. Fortunately, Shen's great-grandson Shen Lianghui and great-granddaughter Shen have been engaged in lacquer art and lacquer painting art creation in the footsteps of their great-grandfathers. ...

Before we left, we went to Taiping town government to visit Zhang, secretary of the town party Committee. Secretary Zhang has worked in Taiping Town for many years. Speaking of Taiping Town, he knows everything from economic development to poverty alleviation, from characteristic industries to rural tourism. He is pleased to tell us two pieces of good news: First, on the occasion of the anniversary of Shen's birthday 1 10, the "Shen Memorial Hall" is about to start construction. The memorial hall faces Diandeng Mountain, covering an area of more than 600 square meters, with a building area of 1900 square meters and a total investment of120,000 yuan. Second, Xiake Village in Taiping Town has been listed as a national key village for poverty alleviation through rural tourism. In the near future, 200 million yuan will be invested in Xiake Village to build Haixi Wenfu Cultural Industrial Park, which will promote the development of local cultural industries, selenium-enriched ecological industries and rural tourism.

Efforts to practice the spirit of "respecting lacquer" of a generation of masters will surely shine the mountain of lighting.
