Sabah fish

Sabah fish, also known as Basha fish, belongs to Silurus, and Silurus is a scaleless fish. Basha fish mainly live in Jiulong River or some big river basins in southern Vietnam, mainly distributed in Anjiang, Tongta, Yonglong, Qingu municipality, Qianjiang and Penang provinces in Vietnam. Vietnamese transliteration means "Kabasha", which means "three-fat fish", because this kind of fish accumulates three large pieces of fat in its abdominal cavity during its growth, accounting for about 58% of its weight.

The fish has the advantages of fast growth, large size, high yield, wide eating habits, easy feeding, white and tender meat, delicious taste, rich nutrition, no small thorns between muscles, easy processing and so on. The fry can grow to 500-800g in one year, 1500-2000g in the second year, and the largest individual can reach 15kg. The shape of Basha fish is very similar to that of white bone fish produced in the Pearl River system in China, with long body, smooth skin and short beard.
