Let me introduce myself first: I am an ordinary two-year undergraduate. After graduation, I entered a startup company to do Android development related work. To tell the truth, I have been in this company since my internship. For two years, I feel that I have made no progress. Although my colleagues always say that there is still a lot of progress, I just haven't found it. Why do I feel this way?
Until the end of last year, the expected "bad luck" came and the leaders talked. The result can be imagined, and the year-end performance is cool. I suddenly realized that although the year-end bonus was gone, I did have a lot of problems under reflection, and I had the idea of leaving my job at that time. However, who would have thought that because of the outbreak of the epidemic at the beginning of the year, we began to work from home. At that time, I heard that the job market was not good today, and I didn't think about preparing for the interview, let alone solving my "problems" fundamentally first.
Later, due to excessive use of eyes at home, I got iriditis (the boss's statement is actually to stay up late playing games), which has affected the office. Because of this, I took a vacation back and forth, about a month. When the eyes recovered almost, probably around May, the company began to return to work.
By the end of June, I sorted out my resume and tried to invest in several companies.
The first interview company was Sina Weibo, and I was really naked. I can't be naked anymore. The interviewer has a good attitude. Finally, he said, go back and get ready. At that time, my attitude was still fooling around. In the next few days, I also met Baidu and homework help. As a result, it is conceivable that they all travel once a day.
In July, the company conducted a performance appraisal for half a year, but the company stipulated that only B+ can participate in the promotion, which made me determined to quit. I still have a glimmer of hope, even if I don't get a raise, I can't even participate in this promotion. So I began to bury myself in the interview.
It is said that because of the epidemic, the job market is not good, why can some friends get a good offer? When reading a book online, everyone said that it is difficult to find a job after working for one year. And as far as the current market situation of Android development is concerned, if you want to find a high-paying job, you can only enter a big factory. This also allowed me to determine my own goals and enter the first-line Internet companies.
So, I began to prepare for the interview seriously, and prepared for about half a month. Since the self-introduction of the interview, I have optimized my resume, and in the process of continuous interview, my resume has been constantly revised and optimized. Then stay up late to brush the algorithm questions and brush the interview questions. After July 15, I began to re-submit my resume and make an appointment for an interview.
In order to accumulate interview experience, I started with some small companies, such as the first one, and learned the ball on the spot. The whole interview process went smoothly, so go directly to the department CTO. What made me happiest in the first interview was not that I came to the end, but an algorithm problem I had brushed before, which happened to be asked and I felt very fulfilled. Later, I met them one after another, such as Chinese Future, SF City Science and Technology, homework help and so on.
It's almost August At this time, the leader also found out that I was wrong. When he talked to me, I had a showdown with the leader and put a lot of pressure on myself. Because most of my colleagues know that I want to leave my job, I have thought about it during the period, or find a small company to study in advance and stay outside for a year. However, because the company's technology stack and salary failed to meet expectations, they all refused.
In August, I began to send takeout to Internet companies such as Dachang, Baidu and Didi, and the results were not satisfactory. At most, it ended on the second side. What hit me the most was some interview questions about the underlying source code. I once asked, I don't know where to start, because I haven't read a lot of source code, so I usually think it's enough to use it.
* * There are some other issues, such as performance optimization, which are also attached great importance by major manufacturers. While regretting that I didn't want to learn these things in the past, I also realized that I need to spend time to make up for this shortcoming, otherwise no matter how many times I go to interview, it will only waste valuable interview opportunities.
The next month is to read all kinds of related blog posts and materials on the Internet, brush the real problems of big factories shared by others on platforms such as Niu Ke, do induction and sorting, and go to some medium-sized companies for "internship" to check for leaks and fill gaps. By mid-September, I changed my mobile phone number, refreshed my resume, and took advantage of the east wind of "Golden September and Silver 10" to vote for major manufacturers again.
Received interviews from Baidu, Didi and homework help. This time I went to two sides, but I died on three sides. I remember very clearly that there was a medical department of Baidu who thought he was under siege. I was very excited when I was lying in bed that night, dreaming that I could get the offer and couldn't sleep for a long time.
But after waiting for 3-4 days, I still didn't receive a follow-up call. I was a little anxious, so I added three interviewers' WeChat and asked. As a result, some projects failed on three sides because of insufficient preparation. Although I answered some questions at the bottom very well, I must have read and studied them before, but there are still other candidates, and you are still excellent.
To be honest, I also expected this result. However, I still feel very uncomfortable and depressed. This also made my mentality change greatly in the later interview. After September, I still haven't got the ideal offer. I don't know if everyone feels the same way.
Among these interviews, Baidu is the most popular one, with a total of 10 people from different departments. There are maternal and child lines, search, Baidu app, smart applets, content strategies, medical and health undertakings, Taiwan Province knowledge and so on. There are only some face classics, and many of them haven't been written yet.
National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, everyone is planning how to go out to play, but at this time, I have no mood to play at all. I don't want to do anything but brush the questions, interview before the resumption, and improve the knowledge system.
After the National Day, I returned to the company to open BOOS. I'm still disappointed to find that there is no new job. I feel hopeless, but now at the station, others don't want to do anything, and the leading colleagues are watching, as if they are saying, why don't you leave? Is it too bad that you can't find a job? Of course, these are all my own ideas.
I'm glad I accepted the interview later, and there is still hope, hahahahahaha. On June 5438+00, there were interviews with Baidu, homework help and ByteDance.
Worth making people happy. After such a long time of preparation, I finally got the answer in this harvest season. The above three interviews have passed one after another and got the offer. After comprehensive consideration, I chose ByteDance. Although homework help offered sincerity, I'm sorry that bytes are too attractive.
The following is what I refused to provide. I hope everyone can experience such a result in the interview.
The following is the content of my resignation.
During the National Day, I really didn't like to eat anything, so I was flustered. Although I didn't think it was a big deal to change to a small company at first, as long as it was "mixed", I was so unwilling that I didn't expect to make so much effort behind me. Fortunately, Huang Tian finally paid off, and now he has been employed for 1 month. Although it is a little different from the big factory he imagined, he does give enough money and can clearly feel that he can learn new things and make continuous progress every day.
Ok, finally, I'll share with you a treasure I found when preparing for the exam. An architect's study notes written by a byte architect's predecessor include framework source code analysis, performance optimization, algorithm, NDK development, and actual combat of architecture projects. There are both study notes and videos. This is his GitHub. If you are interested, you can go and see for yourself! For this reason, I am also very grateful to this big brother for sharing. Remember to give him a little star if necessary!
