Preparation of dye mother liquor
Hello, I graduated from dyeing and finishing, and now I have worked in a printing and dyeing factory for more than 4 years. The mother liquor of our factory is prepared like this. The concentration of our mother liquor is 0.5%. Take 5 grams of dye powder and put it in a glass. First, add a few drops of cold water, stir it into a slurry with a glass rod, then pour in warm water (the water temperature must not be higher than the dyeing temperature, otherwise the dyeing quality will be affected), then stir and dissolve it, and then pour it into a 1000ml volumetric flask. So many times, I know to pour all the dyes in the glass into the volumetric flask (to ensure that all the dyes are in the glass) and then continue to add water to the graduated concave surface of the volumetric flask (as seen from above), so that the dye mother liquor will be more uniform and there will be no particles. It is best to use soft water for dyeing, that is, distilled water. If hard water is used, it will play a chemical role and have a certain impact on dyeing.

hope this helps
