Statistics is the core course of economics and management specialty in higher vocational colleges. Therefore, as a data processing and analysis technology, statistical methods will certainly play a greater role. In the process of compiling this book, according to the requirements of the syllabus and teaching practice, on the basis of summing up many years of statistical teaching experience and referring to a large number of relevant materials at home and abroad, it was completed by a number of experienced teachers collectively. In the overall planning of this book, the content system of statistics is constructed according to the viewpoint of "big statistics", which realizes the integration of statistical theories and related statistical methods and puts the general statistical theories and methods into practice. This book is edited by Wang Chao who has been engaged in statistics teaching for many years, with Wang Yonggang as the second editor, Liu Dongmei, Zhang Xiuqing, Xu Mingchang, Wang Nina, Yang Faling, Mao Haizhou, Luo and Chen Hanping as deputy editors, and Guo Peijun, Yin Qingjie, Cai Huodi and Liang Danying also participated in the compilation of this book. The division of labor in compiling this book is as follows: Wang Chao's compilation projects 5 and 6; Projects I and IX prepared by Wang Yonggang; Liu Dongmei compiled items 7 and 8; Projects III and IV prepared by Zhang Xiuqing; Xu Mingchang wrote Project 2, and finally Wang Chao was responsible for the overall compilation, revision and finalization of the book.
