Luo Fuqiang used to be the battalion commander of China's peacekeeping engineering battalion in Lebanon, leading troops in Lebanon 18 months. He is the longest-serving officer in China, and was awarded the "Warrior in the Army" medal by the Lebanese government in recognition of his outstanding contributions during the peacekeeping period in Lebanon.
After returning to China, Luo Fuqiang became the deputy commander, teacher and senior colonel of a military division in Yunnan.
