In 627 (the first year of Zhenguan), she was made your wife by Emperor Taizong, ranking one of the four ladies (top grade). In 650 (the first year of Yonghui), she was made a title and went out with the King of Qi.

In 665 (the second year of Linde, Tang Gaozong), Wei Jue and Yan Shi, the imperial concubine of the State of Yue, accompanied Gaozong to meditate in Mount Tai. On the way, they fell ill in Luoyang. Tang Gaozong sent doctors and eunuchs to visit. However, Wei Guifei was old after all, and died in Lididun, Henan on September 28th at the age of 69.
