We often think that the poor have no money and can't buy what they need, so many people will donate things.
But you may not think that the mentality of most poor people is like this: what you gave me for nothing is definitely not a good thing.
For example, a charity once distributed free mosquito nets to the poor in local slums to help them prevent malaria. However, after receiving the mosquito net, these people didn't use it in the right place-most of them used it as a wedding dress.
Free things are useless, it is better to entertain. This is their heart.
Why do poor people stay poor?
Because they are short-sighted, they only care about the present.
For example, many poor people will let their children drop out of school, especially when their grades are not very good at first.
This seems to save the cost of education, but it actually cuts off the road to poverty alleviation.
Let's take another look. In the poor areas of a country, the poor all know that chemical fertilizer can increase the yield of their land, but they don't use chemical fertilizer.
Why?
They will say, I have no money to buy it.
What about the money from the last harvest?
They will say, I spent it all and bought something else.
And this other thing, in most cases, is that TV, which can make your eyes shine, has nothing to do with the preservation and appreciation of wealth.
They won't think that if I don't leave some money to buy fertilizer, I can only wait for next year's harvest according to God's mood. If next year is not a bumper harvest year, I will become poorer.
As the old saying goes, those who have no long-term worries will have near worries. The poor became poor again not because of lack of money, but because of short-sightedness.
Short-sightedness is likely to lead to temporary poverty, and it is more likely to lead to poverty for generations.
