Ma Bufang (1903 ~1July 3, 9751), a native of Linxia, Gansu Province, was an important figure in the northwest warlord Ma Jiajun during the Republic of China, and was a senior general and lieutenant general of the Kuomintang army. During the Republic of China, he served as the director of the office of the northwest military and political chief of the National Government of the Republic of China.
In his early years, he joined the Northwest Army with his father March, and served as the commander of the New Second Army and the division commander of 100, the director of the Qinghai Provincial Security Department, the acting chairman of the Qinghai Provincial Government, and the commander of the fifth column of the Northwest First Route Army. Send troops to "encirclement and suppression" the marked army of the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants to participate in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Ma Bufang Mansion was completed in June of 1942 (3 1) and in June of the following year. It's Ma Bufang's private house, named "New Road". Many buildings in Mafu are inlaid with jade, so people also call it "Jade House". This mansion consists of several courtyards, different forms of houses and gardens. The houses in each courtyard are arranged in an orderly and well-structured manner. It constitutes a unified and harmonious whole. In the back garden at the southern end of the mansion, there are precious flowers, trees and pavilions, including the famous "Xiaoquan".
"Ma Bufang House" is the most well-preserved building in Qinghai Province during the Republic of China, and it is also the only official residence built with jade in China. It has high historical and cultural value and strong local ethnic cultural characteristics. 1986 was designated as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit by the provincial government. The quadrangle preserved in the mansion covers an area of nearly 30,000 square meters, with a construction area of more than 6,800 square meters. There are 298 houses, which are composed of seven independent and connected courtyards, namely, the front yard, the middle court, the south yard, the west No.1 yard, the west No.2 yard, the west No.3 yard and the back garden.
