There is a saying in Lu You's sentimental poems about history in the Southern Song Dynasty that "Jiangshan's magnificent poems are invincible", which can be described as a great dumping of Leshan scenery. There is also the saying that "there is no rhinoceros in Jiayang" and "there are crabs in Sichuan history", which is quite different from today's scenery. There are crabs everywhere in Shu and osmanthus everywhere in Leshan. Only a thousand years apart, the difference between plants and animals is not so.

In the seventh line, veteran Guo mistakenly wrote "Jing" as "Qing", so he added the word "Qing" at the end of the last line.
This cursive script of more than 100 words is rich in content. First quote a poem and two sentences of Lu You when he was a satrap in history, and then comment on it. Lu You wrote more than 200 poems in less than ten months as an official in history, and about 80 poems were directly related to Leshan. The seven laws "love" is one of them, and its fifth sentence is "the magnificent poem of Jiangshan, no one can beat it" Lu You also wrote a poem "There is no rhinoceros in Jiayang, and I get a play occasionally". The title of the first half of this poem was extracted by Guo Laojiao. Turpentine is osmanthus fragrans. Jiayang is another name of history. In the sixth sentence of the Seven Laws of Winter, there is still a crab hug on the Qingjiang River. At the end of the poem, Lu You notes: "There are crabs in Shu that only exist in history."
From this inscription, we feel Lao Guo's amazing memory for the first time. If you don't memorize Lu You's poems about history, it will be difficult to record them at will. It may also be because Lu You's three sentences are closely related to the scenery of Leshan. As a Leshan native, Lao Guo was deeply impressed by this and remembered it vividly. So although he is old and has left his hometown for decades, he can be relaxed and effortless.
Secondly, his comments are positive or negative. First of all, he talked about "the magnificent poems of Jiangshan are invincible" and expressed Lu You's great love for Leshan scenery. Then he made it clear that he disagreed with Lu You's statement that there were no rhinos in Jiayang and no crabs in Zhongshu. As said, osmanthus flowers are everywhere in history, and crabs are everywhere in Shu. He said this not only because Lu You was a great poet, but also a famous figure in history. This spirit of seeking truth deserves our vigorous promotion.
The pen moves the dragon and snake, magnificently. This inscription combines the poems of famous poets about Leshan more than 800 years ago and the comments of famous poets more than 800 years later. The writing is flowing freely, and the true nature of Lao Guo is revealed between the lines. Inscriptions that deny previous statements like this are very rare. Such a good structure is written straight and few and far between.
