Has been engaged in biosensor, signal and information processing, nonlinear theory and medical application, biological manufacturing and other aspects of research and teaching. Since 199 1, he has presided over or served as the main participant in more than 20 scientific research projects, including 2 national natural science foundation projects, 3 national 863 projects, 2 provincial science and technology projects, 8 national 1 postdoctoral fund projects and key enterprise projects. At present, he is undertaking the National 863 Project "Development of Nanosensors for Early Diagnosis of Tumors", the National 863 General Project "Research on Taste Biomimetic Sensing Technology and Information Fusion Technology" and the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation "Research on Key Technologies of Computer Aided Diagnosis of Early Comprehensive Images of Brain Tumors".
In 2009, he won the first prize of Enders Medical Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Health, published more than 80 professional academic papers and won 3 national invention awards. In 2008, Guangxi was the second-class candidate of "100 million talents project in the new century"
