He has served as Dean of the School of Public Health of South China University and Director of the Institute of Environmental Medicine. He is also the director of the first Council of Preventive Medicine Education Research Association of China Higher Medical Education Association, the director of General Medicine Education Organizing Committee of China General Medicine Branch, the executive director of the second, third and fourth preventive medicine associations of Hunan Province, and the vice president of Hunan Environmental Health Association.
