Geographical environment of Songshan town
Songshan Town is located in Songshan Beach Grassland at the southern foot of Mao Mao in Qilian Mountain, bordering Gulang County in the northeast, Jingtai County and Yongdeng County in the southeast, and Huazang Temple County in the west. Tiangan Highway passes through the territory and is 0/7km away from Huazang Temple County/KLOC-with convenient transportation. Songshan Town was originally named Songshan Township and Qian Bao Town. The two towns merged in September 2004 and were renamed Songshan Town after the merger. Songshan Mountain, named after the numerous pine trees in the north of the city, is also called Miha Mountain in Tibetan, which means the land of meat.

East China (Huazang Temple-Dongdatan) Highway and Tianjing (Tianzhu-Jingtai) Highway pass through the territory. It is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with gentle terrain, and most of it is located in Songshan Basin. The climate is dry and windy in the county. The grassland covers an area of 932,400 mu, with excellent grass quality, but the grassland is sandy and the vegetation is sparse. The main livestock breeds are yak, horse and fine-wool sheep. In 2005, there were 65,654.38+0.00 head of livestock and 4 1.600 mu of grassland fence, which is one of the main pastoral areas in Tianzhu County and one of the production bases of Tianzhu white yak and alpine fine-wool sheep. The cultivated land area is 6 100 mu, mainly planting wheat, highland barley, peas, rape and so on. In 2005, the total grain output was 870,900 kg, with 20,000 kg of oilseeds. The forest area is 6.5438+0.23 million mu, all of which are shrubs. Minerals include coal, placer gold and marble.
