He has been engaged in the basic and applied research of electromagnetic field theory, optics and quantum physics for many years. Since 1999, he has presided over the Shanghai Youth Science and Technology "Nova Plan", "Dawn Plan", Shanghai Youth Science and Technology "Nova Plan" tracking, National Natural Science Foundation and other projects. In 2000, he was selected into the "Hundred Talents Program" of China Academy of Sciences and presided over the research project "Abnormal Propagation of Light Beam (Packet) in Microstructure". In 2006, he presided over the important direction project of knowledge innovation project of China Academy of Sciences, "Limited Beam Optics and Microstructure Research". In domestic and foreign academic journals Physical Review Letters, Physical Review A &；; Ampe, European Physical Express, Journal of Applied Physics, Optical Communication, Journal of American Optical Society B, Physical Express A, Chinese Physical Express, Physical Journal, etc. 1992 won the second prize of scientific and technological progress in Shaanxi province, and was included in the training plan of "Shanghai leading talents" in 2006. At present, he is a director of Shanghai Physics Society, and is the main person in charge of the key discipline "Information Physics" in Shanghai.
