1940 12. Yang Bin was appointed by the Party Committee of Suzhong District as the secret traffic liaison between Shanghai and northern Jiangsu. 1941March, in order to strengthen the leadership of Shanghai's traffic liaison work and do a good job in Shanghai's support for the New Fourth Army, the Central China Bureau of the Communist Party of China decided to set up the Shanghai office of the New Fourth Army and appointed Bin Yang as its director.
While working in the office, Yang Bin was very strict with the Party's underground traffic policemen. He often said: an excellent traffic policeman should be bold and cautious. Once, when Yang Bin was dealing with the resumes of the transferred personnel handed over by the underground party, he found that a traffic policeman left scraps of paper in the ashtray, and immediately severely criticized the comrade, pointing out that such behavior seriously lost his vigilance against the enemy's sudden attack! The comrade was criticized and sweated. Yang Bin is strict with his comrades-in-arms at work, but he takes good care of them in life. At that time, there was an underground traffic policeman, because his father died young and there were many younger brothers and sisters, and the economic burden was heavy. However, in order not to cause trouble to the organization, he has never reported to the organization and silently bears a heavy economic burden. Yang Bin realized this comrade's difficulty, studied it in time, and decided to give this comrade 30 yuan more money every month. This comrade was deeply moved. More than 40 years later, he recalled Yang Bin and said with emotion: "Comrade Yang Bin can carefully observe the comrades he led in his busy work. It is really a rare good leader." Under the strong leadership of Vencent Yang, in less than two years, the office has sent a large number of urgently needed skilled workers such as printing, printing money and ordnance, as well as doctors, nurses, professors, writers and dramatists to the anti-Japanese base areas in Central China, totaling about 1700 people. At the same time, it also received and escorted a group of people who came to Shanghai from the rear, patriotic youths who returned from Nanyang and some leading comrades who retreated from southern Jiangsu to help them reach the base areas in northern Jiangsu safely.
As an underground worker in enemy-occupied areas, he must always face all kinds of sudden dangers. When the danger suddenly comes, calm response, quick judgment, quick response and decisive decision-making are essential qualities for an excellent underground worker. These have been very prominent in Yang Bin. 1942 10, Sun Ming, the customs broker of this office, was arrested underground in party member, and the contact was interrupted. Vencent Yang went to the customs broker to contact Sun Ming without knowing it, and was arrested by the spy waiting here. During the trial, Yang Bin improvised and claimed that he was the son of a big capitalist in Beijing and a student of Peking University. He came to Shanghai to see a doctor and asked Sun Ming to buy western medicine and milk powder. Believe it or not, the enemy inquired about his address in detail and seized his watch, pen, schoolbag and other things before he was released on parole and asked him to go somewhere for an interview the next day. Yang Bin walked back all the way, calmly analyzed all the way, and thought that the enemy easily released himself into a scam that was likely to be deliberately created, and set off a wave of fishing and bait, in an attempt to catch the underground party organizations in the net. When he found that someone was following him, he strengthened his judgment. What shall we do? It seems difficult to get rid of the enemy. He quickly made a decision: sacrifice himself and save the organization, and analyzed that the most helpless and effective way at present is to go back to his residence and jump off a building to commit suicide. Then this news will definitely spread out in the first time, and underground party organizations can get the news in the first time and respond urgently. After making a decision, he stopped beating around the bush with the enemy and went directly to his rented residence. Fortunately, the landlord entertained guests that night, and there were many guests coming and going, and the upstairs and downstairs were very lively. At the end of the party, it rained heavily outside. Vencent Yang took advantage of this favorable opportunity to put on his raincoat and rain hat and mingle with the guests, thus avoiding the enemy's tracking.
That night, Yang Bin returned to his office and immediately took emergency measures: on the one hand, he arranged underground traffic policemen to immediately notify relevant liaison personnel, on the other hand, he sent someone to report to the higher party committee. After all the arrangements were made, Vencent Yang put on his clothes, changed the word "Li" as a mother's witness card in Underground party member, posted his own photo, and left Shanghai safely the next morning.
1947 may 14, Yang Bin, then deputy secretary of the central Jiangsu prefectural party Committee and minister of urban construction, was arrested in Shanghai for being betrayed by a traitor. At the same time, Jin Ke, secretary of the Central Committee of Jiangsu Province, Wang Liwei, wife of Bin Yang, and Zhang Daping, a cadre of the Central Committee of Jiangsu Province, were also arrested.
After Vencent Yang and others were arrested, the enemy immediately took them to Nanking in an attempt to open a gap among them and destroy our underground party organization in Shanghai. While in prison, Vencent Yang was keenly aware that Jinke's thoughts were shaken, and said to him seriously, "You and I have a great responsibility for the destruction of the prefectural party committee. Lao Zhang's identity has not been exposed, and the painful lesson of the destruction of the prefectural party Committee depends on him to report to the party. We are all prefectural party committee secretaries, so we can't have any illusions about getting out of prison. It is better to die aboveboard than to live in darkness! "
Sure enough, Jinke couldn't stand the enemy's torture and rose up against the revolution. Yang Bin was tortured and refused to give in. In order to force Vencent Yang to yield, the enemy racked their brains, carrot and stick. They first lured the traitor Jin Ke to surrender. Vencent Yang scolded him angrily and decided to express his loyalty to the Party and his firm determination never to give in to death to the enemy. He took advantage of the enemy's unprepared, walked to the electric light, and prepared to die of electric shock. Hardly had he touched the light bulb when the enemy found him. The enemy immediately pulled him and his wife out of the prison, handcuffed their hands tightly with two pairs of handcuffs and tied them to the post outside the cell, and tortured them for a day and a night. Since then, the enemy has been more closely guarded against him, and the road to suicide has not worked.
Yang Bin suffered from severe tuberculosis, and several ribs were removed by surgery, so he kept working despite his illness. After he went to prison, the enemy's life was extremely harsh except torture. He only gives two meals of moldy soybeans or moldy rice porridge every day, and doesn't give water to drink at all, which causes Yang Bin's lips to crack and fester, and her condition deteriorates day by day. For more than half a year, Yang Bin was tortured to death. Nevertheless, he never forgot to encourage his comrades. He avoided the enemy's surveillance and said to his friend Zhang Daping, "I'm going to die. The enemy will not leave me alone. Can't see the coming of revolutionary victory. I hope you must persevere and stick to the ethics of employees! "
1948 1 month, inhuman torture finally took the life of a staunch communist fighter, Yang Bin, who was only 36 years old. He left, leaving no children and no personal property. For the secret of the Conservative Party and the preservation of the Party's organization, Yang Bin devoted all and even the most precious life to the magnificent proletarian revolutionary cause. His fame and lofty spirit will last forever.
