Developing Healthy, Comfortable and Energy-saving Buildings ―― Interview with Tian Yuan, President of Asia Department of Swiss Le Kai Technology Co., Ltd.

Biographical notes

Doctor of architecture. 1999-200 1 worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the federal institute of technology in Zurich, Switzerland, mainly following professor Bruno Keller, a world-renowned architectural physicist, who focused on the research and promotion of healthy, comfortable and energy-saving building strategies and effective technical measures. In 2000, together with Professor Bruno Keller, he undertook the "Shang Feng International Apartment", a high-comfort and low-energy building project funded by AGS in China, and served as the project leader. Now he is the president of Asia Department of Swiss Le Kai Technology Co., Ltd. and the general manager of Le Kai Tianyuan Construction Technology Co., Ltd.

The main representative works hosted by Dr. Tian Yuan: Beijing Shang Feng International Apartment, Beijing Moma International Apartment, Beijing Pop-Moma Constant Temperature and Humidity Technology Residence, Shanghai Anting F 1 Formula Racing Hotel, Nanjing Shi Lang International Block Residential Group, Shanghai Haiyuan Lakeside Villa and other projects.

Reporter: Now the concepts of healthy housing, ecological housing and high-tech housing are flying all over the sky. How should ordinary consumers understand them? Are there any tangible ways?

Tian Yuan: Regarding the formulation of housing, whether it is healthy housing, ecological housing or high-tech housing, its essence should be healthy, comfortable and energy-saving. Otherwise, all kinds of formulations are just new tricks in form. To achieve "health, comfort and energy saving", we should not only meet the requirements of using space, but also meet the requirements of human health and comfort, including indoor temperature, humidity, air quality, lighting and noise control. Specifically, the indoor temperature is controlled at 20-26℃ all the year round; Humidity 40%-60% (30%-70% in a short time); The transmission of light and heat can be adjusted and controlled; Indoor noise below 35-45 decibels; The air quality provides fresh air per person per hour 15-30 cubic meters, and there is no wind feeling and air circulation indoors; There is no smell in the bathroom and kitchen. More than 50% energy saving than the current standard. All the projects we designed and put into use have indoor temperature and humidity meters, which can observe the indoor temperature and humidity at any time. Therefore, it is healthy and comfortable, the effect can be quantitatively evaluated, and users can check it at any time.

Reporter: When it comes to high-tech housing, there must be Shang Feng. As the executor of Shang Feng Design, what do you think of the demonstration effect of this project?

Tian Yuan: Beijing Shang Feng International Apartment Project is the first real estate project in China to fully implement the housing standards of developed countries in Europe. It has been running for two years. I think the most important contribution of Beijing Shang Feng International Apartment Project is the introduction and successful practice of a standard: the housing standard of developed countries in Europe. The success of the project proves that with the existing construction capacity and investment level in China, it can completely meet the comfort and energy-saving standards of residential buildings in developed countries in Europe.

The business community said, "First-class enterprises set standards. Second-rate enterprises do technology and third-rate enterprises do products. " Beijing Shang Feng International Apartment Project has set a new standard. This is its most important demonstration role.

Beijing Fengshang has a good external protection structure, which can adapt to different meteorological changes in four seasons, shorten the time required for heating and cooling, and greatly reduce the power of equipment. Therefore, a new heating and cooling mode suitable for this situation can be adopted: ceiling soft radiation heating and cooling+fresh air total replacement. Its characteristics are: fresh air does not participate in heating or cooling, and the use efficiency is higher, and fresh air is separated from dirty air. Soft radiant heating and cooling make the indoor temperature uniform, windless, noiseless and without equipment, reaching the health, comfort and energy-saving standards of developed countries in Europe.

We work in Shang Feng International Apartment. Personal experience and testing, recorded a lot of actual data. The indoor temperature is kept in the comfortable range of 20 ~ 26 degrees Celsius all the year round, and the humidity is about 50%. The annual heating cost in Beijing is about 28 yuan/m2, and the room temperature will be below 15 degrees before and after the heating period. The heating cost in Shang Feng is only 10 yuan/m2, and there is no temperature below 20 degrees Celsius all year round.

Reporter: You have been engaged in the research of high-comfort and low-energy residential buildings in Europe for a long time, and now you have returned to China for development. Please comment on the current development trend of domestic high-tech housing industry and the gap with foreign countries?

Tian Yuan: We advocate and develop the strategic thinking of European high-comfort and low-energy buildings. Design buildings under any meteorological conditions, make maximum use of favorable natural conditions according to capital investment, give full play to material properties, and rationally optimize architectural design, so that the natural temperature of the internal space of the building can be kept within the comfort range of human body to the maximum extent, without using any heating and cooling equipment, thus minimizing the power of the equipment, shortening the service time of the equipment and minimizing the energy consumption required for heating and cooling. Respecting science and seeking truth from facts is the basis of implementing this strategy.

As Chou Baoxing, vice minister of the Ministry of Construction, said, the gap in building energy conservation in China is due to the lack of basic knowledge of energy conservation and green building and effective incentive policies. The third is the lack of laws and regulations. A comprehensive standard system has not yet been established. Fifth, there is a lack of effective administrative supervision system.

Besides scientific design, better on-site service is needed. Close cooperation among development companies, design departments and construction units can ensure the quality of buildings. Therefore, the work of the design department is not only to optimize the design, but also to provide full-service including material and equipment selection, debugging and supervision of construction quality, which requires the scientific attitude, understanding and support of the development company and the construction unit.

Reporter: Your teacher Keller Bruno, a Swiss expert in architectural physics, built the world's first "Farewell to Air-conditioned Heating Building"-Tourbalesert project in Geneva, but the building itself has regional characteristics. How do you carry out the teacher's ideas in domestic projects?

Tian Yuan: The above healthy, comfortable and energy-saving building development strategies are applicable to any meteorological conditions. In China, all the projects we designed carried out the strategic idea of healthy, comfortable and energy-saving buildings, but different technical measures and methods were adopted under economic conditions, meteorological conditions, building materials and technical conditions.

Beijing Shang Feng International Apartment Project has achieved great market success. Followed by Beijing Moma International Apartment, Beijing Pop-Moma Constant Temperature and Humidity Technology Residence, Shanghai Anting F 1 Formula Racing Hotel, Nanjing Shi Lang International Block Residence, Shanghai Haiyuan Lakeside Villa, etc. These projects carry out the strategic thinking of health, comfort and energy saving; All of them have the characteristics of stable indoor temperature and humidity, fresh air, quiet and windless, complete space, low energy consumption, low operating cost and high cost performance.

With the strong support of the national energy-saving policy, more and more buildings will meet the European health and comfort standards, with low energy consumption and good cost performance.
