Personal profile

Chen Tian and his original name is Qidong, 19 1 165438, born in Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province on February 8, and/kloc-0 died in Tongxian County, Hebei Province on October 23. 1927 graduated from Zhejiang No.10 Middle School, and 1929 studied in the Music Group of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. He was expelled for taking part in the student movement, so he changed his name to He Tian. 65438-0930 was admitted to Shanghai National Conservatory of Music, and studied theoretical composition under Huang Zi, which was highly valued by Huang Zi. Because of his poor family, he dropped out of school three times. 1932, he taught in Shanghai Xinhua Art Institute, Wuchang Art Institute and Shandong Theatre successively. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he returned to Shanghai to join the China Composers' Association, engaged in the creation of anti-Japanese war songs, and 1939 went to Chongqing to work in the Music Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of the National Government. From 65438 to 0940, he taught at the National Conservatory of Music and later served as the academic director of the college. June1949-July 1950 transferred to Fujian Conservatory of Music as a professor. 195 1 year later, he worked in the Central Song and Dance Troupe and the Central Opera and Dance Theatre. After liberation, he worked in Beijing People's Art Theatre and Central Opera House successively. He began to write when he was studying in the Conservatory of Music. After the "September 18th Incident", he composed songs such as Recognizing the Enemy, We Want to Take Back the Lost Land, and We Want to Cheer Up, showing strong patriotic enthusiasm. During the Anti-Japanese War, he composed a number of anti-Japanese war songs, such as "Battle Song of August 13th", "Defending Shanghai" and "Song of 800 Defending the Top Alone", which played a certain role in publicizing the Anti-Japanese War and boosting morale. In particular, his "War Song in the Lane" is widely circulated. He also donated clothes for soldiers in Shanghai and wrote the opera Peach Blossom Garden (written by A Ying). He also wrote the piano piece Blood Debt, which reflected the indignation of the people of China who were bombed by enemy planes at that time.

He has written many textbooks and songs for primary and secondary schools, such as The Swallow's Song, A Spring Tour, A Tribute to National Shame, Bud, Rice White and so on. Indoctrinate young people with the ideas of patriotism, democracy, love of labor and love of science. I have also written many artistic songs, such as Pastoral, In the Mountains, Qiu Meng, Qingping Music, Where is the Spring Return, etc. These works are fresh in style and vivid in image. He also composed the opera Jing Ke and the oratorio A Farewell to the River Beam.

After liberation, he further evaporated his enthusiasm for creation, and composed "Forest, Green Ocean" and "Song of Peace and Friendship", and created dance music such as "Tea Picking Lantern" and "Lotus Dance", and adapted the guqin song "Guangling San" as an ensemble. After that, he concentrated on composing opera music, hoping to make some decent operas. But his dream didn't come true, and the disease took his life. He is a student in Huang Zi. Influenced by Huang Zi, his works are simple in style, exquisite in materials, rigorous in structure and full of national color, so they are welcomed by the masses. Besides composing, he also made great achievements in music education and trained many musical talents. Chen Tianhe's works are mainly songs, with about 100 songs (including those accompanied by folk songs and ancient songs), including Mourning a National Liberation Warrior, Picking Sangqu, Warsong in the Lane and Defending World Peace and Forest! The green ocean has a great influence. His choice of lyrics is quite strict. In the process of creation, he attaches importance to poetic content, and music changes with poetic changes. Therefore, most of his lyric songs, such as Pastoral, Mountain, Qiu Meng, Qingping Music, Where is the Spring Return, and Liu Yang in the West of Jiangchengzi, are fresh in style and simple and beautiful in melody. His songs are not only published in various music publications, but also included in books, such as Memories (1937) and Sword Sound (1943). Chen Tianhe also composed the opera Jing Ke (1937, unfinished), The Peach Blossom Garden (1939), the oratorio Farewell to He Liang (Lu Qian's Ci), and the piano overture (composed by Qi Erpin (A.N. Cherepnin) with a very rich song.

In that faraway place is a work written by Chen Tianhe in 1945 to support the activities of folk clubs. Ms. Ugly Huiying, an important figure in the art and political circles of Taiwan Province Province, is a student of Chen Tianhe. In the mid-1940s, Ugly Huiying went from Xining to Chongqing, and studied vocal music at the National Conservatory of Music (namely Aoki Guan National Conservatory of Music), under the tutelage of Mr. Chen Tian and Mr.. Teacher Chen often spends her spare time tutoring her basic theory. Teacher Chen thinks Ugly Huiying comes from the northwest frontier. Why not sing northwest folk songs and let him record music for promotion? It is also a great pleasure in the music world. Chen Tianhe first recorded and arranged Ugly Huiying's "In that Far Away Place". At that time, Guan Furen, the most famous coloratura soprano in China, sang this song, which was a sensation and soon spread all over the country. ("refers to Ms. Yu, followed by her husband's surname, called Guan." At that time, she was used to being called "Guan Furen" and was very famous. He is a famous singer in the history of modern vocal music in China. After liberation, he served as vice president of the Central Conservatory of Music).

Ms. Ugly Huiying never agreed that "In that faraway place" was composed by Wang, and was published in the second issue of 1994 "China Music". Lv Cheng, the author of How It Came into Being.

Son of Music is a biography of Mr. Chen Tianhe. 1993 Mr. Zhao Meibo, a vocalist who lived in the United States in the 1930s and taught at the Shanghai National Conservatory of Music, was invited by Mr. Chen Tianhe's eldest daughter, Ms. Chen Dunxiu, to preface this book.

Two things are mentioned in the book:

1, Chen Tian and have been forgotten for a long time. China Musicians Association editor-in-chief, Guangxi People's Publishing House published the "China Musicians Family Directory" without even his name. -"preface"

2. We also found many harmony exercises in his 1936 manuscript. There is a piano song dedicated to Mr. Huang Zi, which is only part of his proud practice, and the rest were discarded on the way back to China.

A letter from Mr. Chen Tian:

Brother Ding Xian, An Xue and Lu Ting: I just got back from China Funeral Home. My head is heavy. In front of me, I saw Master Huang's pale body and countless pairs of wet eyes. I wish I could cry with you now! According to the cloud, Huangshi's mother once fell to the ground in despair, and Huangshi's mother was in great pain. This sorrow belongs to them, to us and to the music industry in China. We will never hear such a farsighted and sincere dialogue again! In the next twenty or thirty years, China's music industry will lose its axis, and God will cruelly take away Huang, who is still in his prime, and this poor garden will be deserted. Oh! Master Huang! Its loyalty to music can not make people cry! According to Mrs. Huang, when she was ill, she cried in a low voice after her classmates went to pay homage. How can we repay Master Huang's love for us?
