1996 won the first place of Bel Canto in Yunnan Division of the National Young TV Singers Grand Prix.

In June, 2002, Fang Xin's soprano solo concert was held in Paris International Art City Concert Hall.

He has held many solo concerts in Paris, Kunming and Chuxiong.

He published the monograph "A Preliminary Study of Yunnan National Singing System" and won the third prize of excellent teaching achievement of Yunnan Art Institute.

Participated in the completion of the social science project "Yunnan National Art Project Music" in the first half of the Ninth Five-Year Plan in Yunnan Province. He published eight papers, such as Some Understanding of Guo Shuzhen's Singing and Teaching, On the Emotional Treatment and Expression of Song Singing, which were published in the Study of National Art and included in the Collection of Musicology published by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Press.

Students have won the first and second Yunnan Youth World Style Art Competition, the first China 56 National Youth Art Talent Competition and the first National Pop Singer Competition. Professor Fang Xin also won "Excellent Horticulture Award" and "Excellent Tutor Award" for the achievements of his outstanding students.

He has served as the judge of various large-scale vocal competitions in the whole country, southwest China, Yunnan Province and cities for many times, and has served as the vocal director and lead singer of the Yunnan Professor Choir for a long time, and has performed in Malaysia, Singapore and other countries for many times.
