Zhong's works
Zhong's rigorous academic attitude is also reflected in his medical works. In the 1980s, when he was in charge of compiling the entries in the pediatric volume of the Encyclopedia of Medicine, he repeatedly calculated the proportion of each part of the entries and made a lot of efforts in refining the contents. The part he wrote was well received by the editorial team and was informed as a model essay for editors to learn.

At the end of the "Cultural Revolution" 10 turmoil, Professor Zhong, in order to sum up his decades of clinical experience and leave it to future generations, resolutely wrote the book Differential Diagnosis of Pediatric Diseases at the age of 70. In the later period of writing, his eye convergence function was seriously out of balance, his eyesight was obviously decreased, and his body was very weak. However, he still insisted on writing, and he often went to the library with a magnifying glass to check and enrich the contents of his works. When he really couldn't read the foreign letters clearly, he asked the young comrades in the museum to help him identify them. This spirit of being meticulous about books and highly responsible to readers is deeply moving. After the book was published, it was well received by readers and reprinted again and again.
