He Yang is an influential contemporary painter and calligrapher. He graduated from the Art Department of Henan University and worked in the Cultural Department of Henan Province. He is now a member of China Artists Association, a member of Henan CPPCC, a director of China Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, a member of Henan Artists Association, a creator of Henan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and a full-time painter of Henan Chinese Painting Academy.
