1. Click the Start tab.

After entering the excel interface, select the cell to set the diagonal, and click the Start tab above.

2. Click the triangle symbol.

Locate and click the triangle symbol to the right of the other borders under the Home tab, and then click the other borders inside.

3. Click OK.

Click your diagonal style after the setting box pops up, and then click the OK button below.
