During the War of Liberation, he served as deputy director of the Political Department of Qiongya Independent Column, political commissar of the Third Corps and minister of the Organization Department. Adhere to guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines for a long time and cooperate with the main force of the People's Liberation Army to liberate Hainan Island.
