Why did Hu Jian settle in Hangang?
Hu Jian graduated with honors from 1997 Baotou Steel Institute. There are three choices before him: stay in school to teach, be an experimental teacher and then take the postgraduate entrance examination; Worked as a technician in Baotou Steel Seamless Steel Tube Factory, with large scale, superior conditions and good benefits; Worked as a steelworker in Hangang.

Hu Jian's choice is beyond the imagination of many recent college graduates and peers. He walked into Hangang, put on blue overalls and became a first-line steel worker. At that time, Hangang was an example for enterprises all over the country to learn from, and he said he would definitely find his place in it. 10 years later, the "technical competition champion", the model worker of Hebei Province and the winner of the national "May 1st Labor Medal" proved their correct choice with a series of achievements and honors. Facing the honor, he said calmly and confidently, "I just like to do something down to earth!" "

When Hu Jian first entered Hangang, he was very shocked by the rapid development of the enterprise. During my internship as a steel rolling worker in the Fourth Rolling Plant of Hangang, I worked very hard. If you don't understand, just ask. The workers' masters think that this new young man is different from other college students. "He is always like an apprentice, not like a college student." After a year's internship, the masters cast a satisfied eye on Hu Jian. The old steel rolling worker is willing to chat with this fat and studious young college student. They said, "It's nice to be a college student."

Opportunities belong to those who are prepared. Only one year after he arrived in Hangang, he was targeted by the opportunity: 1998, Hangang was going to introduce a continuous casting and rolling production line from Germany Simak Company, which was the largest and most compact strip rolling production line approved by the state in the metallurgical industry, with a design investment of 3.37 billion yuan, and was a "giant" in the metallurgical industry at that time. After discussion, business leaders decided to let Hu Jian prepare for this project.

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity hit him.

Hu Jian entered the continuous casting and rolling production line of finishing group, which is the most advanced technology in the world. Due to the lack of experience in China and the fact that the equipment materials are both in English and German, Hu Jian began to read foreign materials day and night, and soon completed the translation of various technical materials of the 654.38+ ten thousand-character finishing mill, saving a lot of time and translation costs for enterprises.

According to the contract, Hu Jian will go to Germany and Mexico as a CSP worker for three weeks of theoretical training and six weeks of practical training in June 1998. On the operating platform of foreign rolling mills, seven or eight TV screens flashed various numbers in a hurry. These numbers on the monitor come and go quickly. It is too late to say that Hu Jian feels that his eyes, head and hands are not enough every day. At that time, Hu Jian didn't have a computer, so he could only take shorthand at the fastest speed and copy it quickly in his notebook with a pen. This round of numbers flashed by without copying them down, just waiting for the next round to appear and copy them again ... In a few weeks, he wrote three thick notes, carefully recalling and studying them day and night, and trying to memorize all the information. During this month's study abroad, I have accumulated valuable experience for the debugging and production of hot rolling production line in Handan Iron and Steel Company.

After returning to China, for the birth of the first hot-rolled coil in Hangang, when the project entered the debugging stage, Hu Jian took part in the optimization debugging of the finishing mill while training workers, and carefully explained the structure, action principle, technical requirements, functions and uses, process setting, material tracking and control principle of the mill to the field workers. He practiced every detail and every movement with the most accurate technique.

1999 12 10 is an unforgettable day for Hu Jian. 265438+ at 0: 40 pm, he and the whole class held their breath and absorbed. Hu Jian tapped the keyboard with both hands: a bright red strip rushed to the last process with the roar of the rolling mill. "The heat load test was successful!" The first coil of steel was born, and there was cheers in the workshop, but Hu Jian suddenly sat in a chair, and tears kept flowing downwards.

Although the thermal load test run was successful, the subsequent optimization and commissioning and trial production tasks are equally arduous. In the process of debugging production, four classes, including Hu Jian, were randomly debugged by the technicians of German Simak company. They have been working continuously for nearly five months. The foreigner said, "Don't change four liners like this, it takes too much time." In this way, the debugging of the personnel on duty in Hu Jian achieved the expected goal within one month, two months ahead of the original speed of the personnel on duty in Class 4.

In order to make the rolling mill reach the output and efficiency quickly, Hu Jian led the whole class to sum up "Class C advanced operation method" and "improved roll changing mode method", which were quickly popularized in the whole plant and became the necessary operation manual and study book for everyone in the rolling workshop.

In the autumn of 2000, CSP production line successfully passed the completion acceptance. Mr. Bater, a foreign expert, praised the production line of Handan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. for creating "four world firsts": the shortest construction time, the fastest production time, the first trial operation of heat load and the lowest breakout rate of continuous casting. Now this "Big Mac" has shown its great power, and its annual rolling capacity accounts for more than half of the headquarters of Hangang.

Today, Hu Jian's "hot rolling technology" has been "practice makes perfect", and many others can't be rolled out, and some even take less time than foreigners. He said: "I rely on the feel on the operation panel."

In June 2007, Hu Jian was transferred to the 2250 mm hot rolling plant of Hanbao Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. of Handan Iron and Steel Group, and took 80 apprentices as the "person in charge of hot rolling process". The new 2250 mm hot rolling production line was completed and installed. This is another "first" in the history of Hangang. "This is another step for our Handan Iron and Steel Company to move towards the first echelon of steel. I must devote myself wholeheartedly and strive for this' another first volume' to be rolled by me. "

"I have to work overtime every day, not just myself. All eight groups have to work overtime. " Hu Jian said. At present, Hu Jian is a busy man. During the day, he will coordinate all the work of the other seven groups. After work in the evening, he will also take the CD of the input materials home to study, look at the drawings and study the new accessories.

Hu Jian takes Hangang as his home and never wants to leave the rolling mill. He lives with the rolling mill day and night. His skills and professionalism made his colleagues admire him. Several companies offered him a high salary, but Hu Jian declined politely. He said, "I found a wife in Hangang and settled down."
