Shu and James Zhu are fellow villagers in Anhui and good partners at work. They are all affiliated to Shanghai Theatre Academy, and they are all engaged in China traditional operas. Shu is one of the producers of China's famous opera Huizhou Women, which is the finale of Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe at the 5th Shanghai International Art Festival.

Zhu Jian is also a professor and director of Shanghai Theatre Academy. His children's plays "Tomorrow" and "The Scholar and the Executioner" both won prizes.

The two men have something in common in artistic creation, learning from each other and learning from each other, so they have established a profound friendship.
