Brief introduction of Wang Mengshi
Wang Mengshi (1915.1-1993) is a Hui nationality from Nanchang, Jiangxi.

China's famous master of painting and calligraphy, stone carving and micro-carving.

I like calligraphy and painting seal cutting since I was a child, and I am good at carving porcelain and ivory micro-carving. I studied under Wan Renbo and Zhao. Learning books began with Deng He, copying the original pictures of family books and inscriptions in Qin and Han Dynasties. Pen and ink dripping, thick and simple. Seal cutting is a combination of punching and cutting. Just play with the knife without ghosts. Beautiful and elegant is vigorous and smooth. See Gu Zhuo, and the postscript when cutting with a knife is particularly quaint.

After making outstanding achievements in lithograph carving in his youth, he plunged into the world of micro-carving. Through self-study and perseverance, after years of hard work, his works have changed from plane sculpture to three-dimensional sculpture. His works are famous for their depth, precision and fineness, and the carved landscape figures, birds and animals are alienated and slender.

He carved the panoramic view of Wang Tengting in Song Dynasty and the full text of Wang Bo's Preface to Wang Tengting on an inch square ivory, and Yue Fei's poem "Man Jiang Hong" was carved on sesame-sized ivory. After reading his works, Fu Baoshi, a master of Chinese painting, once gave an evaluation of "superb skills".
