In a word, Seoul Sunday is a film with no defined genre. Although the film consists of three short films of independent stories, there is no connection between the three stories. The only thing in common is "whimsical imagination". Even in their own stories, different types are always crossing. The first story, Ronaldinho, is between campus youth films and science fiction films. It tells the story that a high school student (played by Feng Taigui) who is isolated by his classmates is actually a werewolf. The second story tells the story of a serial killer (Park Sung-bin), which is a short film integrating horror and comedy. The last story, Typhoon Boy, tells the love story of a young martial arts practitioner (Jin Shouxian) and a talented martial arts girl (Li Qingya). This is a short film that combines action, comedy and melodrama.

The first story is about Tao Yan, an adolescent high school student. Dao Yan is an introverted high school student. Although he was bullied by his classmates and extorted money every day at school, he was never absent, because his only pleasure and comfort was to see the girl sitting in front of him at school. Zhijuan is the most beautiful in the school. He daydreams every day. When he sparks with Zhijuan, he can forget the pain of reality. However, in addition to the bullying of his classmates, Dao Yan also has a headache, that is, he is extremely hairy. Once he shaved all his hair, but he recovered the next day. He feels that his hair seems to grow more and more, which he thinks is a physiological change in adolescence. On the night of the full moon, Dao Yan actually faced earth-shattering things. He found that his face and whole body had changed greatly and he became a werewolf. . .

The second story is about a serial murder suspect. One day, a suspect in a serial murder broke down while driving away from the police. At that time, he passed by a remote village, where he finally found a house and asked the owner to let him stay at home for a few days. But as soon as the suspect entered the room and saw his family, he felt very bad. . .

The third story is about a young typhoon practicing martial arts for revenge. Typhoon decided to practice martial arts to avenge his father. Once, because of his bravery, he got a chance to practice martial arts under a martial arts master by chance. Because of the blood feud, the typhoon only had the idea of revenge in his heart, so he didn't notice the master's daughter, and Eiko, who has strong martial arts, secretly loved him. . .

◆ "No protagonist"

If you see the poster and think that Feng Taikui and Li Qingya are duets, the audience will feel cheated after watching the movie. Posters only borrow the faces of two relatively well-known actors, but they are only the protagonists of their respective short films and cannot represent the whole theme of the films.

The film itself is close to the mixture of "supporting role" and "protagonist". In Typhoon Boy, I landed a light plane in front of a country gas station and shouted, "Please come on!" Lee Hyun Woo and DJ DOC, who plays "Xitang Golden Sun Club", can't be regarded as just cameos, because they most faithfully embody the joyful function of the film.

In addition, the former star and Zheng Maiden who briefly appeared in the second short film also played a role in firmly grasping the nostalgic audience's sight.

Director Park Sung-hoon has made commercial films such as S Diary and Sad Movie, and deeply understands the physiological characteristics of the film industry "crying for money and asking for money with a smile", so he broke the idea of attracting investment from writing the script. He said: "We can't expect this pure film to attract investment. So I decided not to worry about money, just to raise money for making interesting movies and recruit actors by friendship. " At Park Sung-hoon's initiative, more than 30 actors joined forces and decided not to receive any remuneration first. More than 80 crew members also decided to share the benefits after the film premiere. In this way, a low-cost film with a film production cost of only 700 million won was finally born.
