Focusing on the major engineering needs of manned spaceflight, Li conducted research on methods, technologies and systems of astronaut selection, training, medical supervision and medical insurance, and invented a flexible loading method to simulate the launching of overweight loads, which was successfully applied to astronaut training and the second batch of astronauts selection, and contributed to the success of three manned spaceflights.
2. Teaching reform
On the basis of extensive investigation and analysis of the current situation of young teachers' work and life, Li proposed and established a weekly work exchange system for young teachers and a joint meeting system between the party and the government.
