Resume of Huo Yuanjia's life

When Huo Yuanjia was hot in 1980s, people didn't know much about the life of this martial arts master. After hard visits from my hometown, all kinds of legends were gradually clarified-

Become the real Huo Yuanjia,

Huo Yuanjia's second son Huo Dongge and his wife Yu and son Ya Ting.

People are no strangers to the Hong Kong TV series Huo Yuanjia. 1983, because of its broadcast, "Huo Yuanjia fever" was triggered all over the country, "The Great Wall will never fall" was sung everywhere, and patriotic melodies were everywhere.

The western suburbs set up a "fire board" to collect historical materials, and the life of a generation of Wulin masters was basically sorted out.

Xiaonanhe Village, Nanhe Town, Xiqing District, this city is the hometown of Huo Yuanjia. Facing the sudden "Huo Yuanjia fever", people from all walks of life hope to have a clear understanding of Huo Yuanjia's life. But because of the long history, I don't even know much about the history of Huo Yuanjia, so Xiqing District (then called Xijiao) set up the "Huo Yuanjia Historical Materials Collection Laboratory", and I was transferred to "Huoban" to become the only full-time cadre and researcher. Accompanied by Huo Yuanjia's grandson Huo Wenting, I hurried on the road of interviewing and collecting historical materials of Huo Yuanjia.

We first found Huo Yuanjia's eldest daughter Huo Bingru in Haidian District. She was 88 years old then. She talked about her father's past with relish: when Huo Yuanjia worked as a shopkeeper in the warehouse of Tianjin Huaiqing Club, he sometimes went back to Xiaonanhe Village to visit relatives, and sang drums in his spare time, which attracted the neighbors to watch. After Huo Yuanjia's death, Lingyun returned to her hometown the next year and met her disciple Liu Zhensheng and others ... but she didn't know much about Huo Yuanjia's life and other details. In Guangdong Wushu Association, we visited Li Peixian, a 90-year-old vice chairman of Guangdong Wushu Association and a veteran of Jason Wu (known as "Eagle Claw King"). He showed us some books and periodicals of Jason Wu, such as Biography of Jason Wu and Biography of Jason Wu. These precious historical materials have turned yellowish brown, and it is said that they have been preserved after numerous disasters. Shanghai Jason Wu Club had been closed for half a century, and soon resumed its work. It also lent us hundreds of newly collected books, which were donated by the old Jason Wu members and their descendants. The descendants of Khodorkovsky in Indonesia sent us the Memorabilia of South America written by Huo Dongge, which recorded the history of opening Jason Wu clubs in various cities in Indonesia. Shanghai TV Station provided Huo Yuanjia's historical photos in "Zhangchangyuan", where he agreed to compete with the British. While searching for the Republic of China Archives in Shanghai, we accidentally discovered the long-lost history of Jason Wu. At the same time, with the support of Tianjin History Museum, we remake more than 100 historical photos, including the activities of clubs in Huo Yuanjia, Liu Zhensheng and Jason Wu. In Shanghai, we also visited a famous anecdote of Zheng.

From 65438 to 0985, the Fire Office, Tianjin History Museum and Shanghai Jason Wu Association jointly held the "Exhibition of Huo Yuanjia's Life and Deeds" in Tianjin, which immediately caused a sensation throughout the country.

Huo Yuanjia's life story

In Tianjin, Huo Yuanjia forced out the Russian Hercules and got the nickname "Yellow-faced Tiger".

Huo Yuanjia, a patriotic martial artist, was born in Dongguang County, Hebei Province, and later moved to Xiaonanhe Village, Xiqing District, Tianjin. He was born on the seventh day of December in the seventh year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (1869) and died on the eleventh day of August in the second year of Xuantong (19 10) at the age of 42.

Huo, the father of Huo Yuanjia, is the sixth generation descendant of Huo Mi Quan. In his early years, he often went to Guandong to be a bodyguard for businessmen. Huo Yuanjia, a famous martial arts family, has ten people, including his brother Yuan Dong, his younger brother Yuan Qing and his cousin.

Huo Yuanjia was sickly when he was young, and was regarded as a non-martial artist by his father, so no one taught him martial arts. But Huo Yuanjia used the skills his father taught his brothers to study hard and practice hard. When his father learned about it, he gave him a good scolding, so Huo Yuanjia promised never to compete with others again, so as not to lose the face of her family, so that she could practice martial arts with her brothers. For more than ten years, Huo Dean found that Huo Yuanjia's martial arts were better than others, and he taught him carefully, so that Huo Yuanjia got the essence of secret boxing. On the basis of inheriting the family heirloom, Huo Yuanjia accepted everything and learned from others, which made the secret zongquan become a "mystery technique" and an outstanding master in Wulin.

In his short life, Huo Yuanjia left many glorious deeds. In the twenty-seventh year of Guangxu (190 1), a Russian came to Tianjin to busk and advertised in the newspaper, claiming to be the strongest man in the world. He also said that the second and third strongmen were British and German respectively. The Russian has a lot of manpower. On his back, he can hold an iron dumbbell weighing 100 kg in both hands, and there is a huge board between his feet. There is a hardwood square table and four carved chairs on the board, which can accommodate four people to sit around and play cards. At this time, Huo Yuanjia is working as a shopkeeper in the medicine warehouse of Tianjin Huaiqingtang. He was very angry after seeing the advertisement, and immediately invited Nong Sun Jin, the owner of Huaiqing Hall, and Liu Zhensheng, the disciple who opened the door, to visit. Liu Zhensheng called first, and the translator informed the Russians about the origin of Huo Yuanjia. The Russians smelled Huo Yuanjia's fame and quickly let Huo Yuanjia and others into the background. Huo Yuanjia questioned the Russians on the spot. Why did he despise China and humiliate China? And put forward three conditions: first, re-advertise and get rid of the "world first" boasted by Russians; Second, the Russians are required to publicly admit the wrong remarks that insult the people of China and publicly apologize; Otherwise, it is the third condition, and I will fight with you. The Russian strongman was timid and immediately admitted his mistake, and put an advertisement in the newspaper to apologize to the people of China. "Tianjin people are proud to hear it, high-five and praise it", "Huo Yuanjia is proud to see it", and they nicknamed him "Yellow-faced Tiger".

Huo Yuanjia went to Shanghai to beat back the British Hercules and founded the Jason Wu Club.

In the winter of Xuantongyuan (1909), another British strongman, Ao Ping, went to Shanghai to hold a race. At the invitation of friends from Shanghai Wulin, Huo Yuanjia went to Shanghai with the peasants and the British for a period of time, vowing to avenge the "sick man of East Asia". It is understood that this Englishman is fat and big and good at wrestling. He can drag a car backwards by hand, lay on the ground and spread an iron plate, and let the car run over him. He was employed by Warren, a British capitalist. Warren was afraid that Opin was no match for Huo Yuanjia, but threatened to pay a 10,000-yuan tournament deposit to force him to retreat from Huo Yuanjia. Huo Yuanjia, with the support of his Wulin friends, promised 10,000 yuan as a mortgage, leaving the forest penniless. He also said that Aoping is in Nanyang and needs to return to Shanghai in March next year. In March of the following year, Huo Yuanjia and his party returned to Shanghai, but the tournament dragged on and on, and it was finally scheduled for June. Before the game, Huo Yuanjia put up a challenge in the "Zhang's Garden" of Jing 'an Temple and advertised in both Chinese and English: "The world laughs at China as a sick country, and I am a sick man in a sick country, and I am willing to compete with healthy people all over the world." At the same time, it also said that "the exclusive collection of foreign Hercules, although reinforced with steel, has no worries." The Englishman was photographed by the "yellow-faced tiger" and fled without daring to fight. Even the notary and Walling are gone. Huo Yuanjia's feat caused a sensation in Shanghai, and people's mood did it one brace up.

Huo Yuanjia has always believed in a strong country. As the saying goes, "If you want to be a strong country, you must teach everyone how to fight!" It's only three months since I came to Shanghai for the second time, but I'm already very famous in Shanghai, and many people from all walks of life ask Huo Yuanjia for martial arts. Therefore, farmers and others joined forces with the martial arts community to set up the "China Gymnastics Club" (later changed to a sports club) on the first day of June in the second year (19 10), making an exception and spreading the ancestral Huo family boxing to the people. In the past ten years, Jason Wu Clubs have grown to 37 in China and 38 abroad (mainly in five Southeast Asian countries), with 400,000 followers. All kinds of publications of Jason Wu Association must print images of firemen on the front page and dedicate them as "the ancestor of Jason Wu".

After defeating the Japanese national player, the Jason Wu Club was assassinated by the Japanese, and unfortunately died 70 days after its establishment.

The Japanese Judo Association heard about Huo Yuanjia's reputation and wanted to conquer Huo Yuanjia, so it sent ten national players to China and invited them to play in Huo Yuanjia. Liu Zhensheng was the first to play, and then he defeated five Japanese. The Japanese were short of breath and went straight to Huo Yuanjia. After several days of contact, the Japanese army gradually became tired, so they ate the words of "the war of gentlemen" and raided Huo Yuanjia. Unexpectedly, Huo Yuanjia took precautions, took advantage of the situation, flew up, fell to the bottom of the steps and broke his left arm.

Huo Yuanjia was also slightly injured, coughing and wheezing during the game. The Japanese pretended to be friendly and tricked Huo Yuanjia into being admitted to a Japanese hospital. Finally, Japanese doctor Akino secretly used chronic lung rot drugs to kill him. It was the seventieth day after the establishment of Shanghai Jason Wu Club. At that time, I only taught half a set of Huo family boxing, which was later supplemented by Liu Zhensheng.

A generation of martial arts masters died, but the martial arts career he founded has been circulating for nearly a hundred years and is still in the ascendant. When visiting Mr. Zheng on 1983, he presented an elegy in memory of Huo Yuanjia:

Pay tribute to the high-spirited King Kong Han, who is extremely selfless, has a fine fist, a flying tiger, a martial spirit and a heroic spirit of Pumbaa;

Acura is brave and good at fighting, brave and rock-solid, unswerving in the autumn frost, patriotic and loving the people, strengthening our nation, and righteous and upright.

This couplet was inscribed by Chen Tiesheng, a famous reporter from Wu Jingren and Seventy-two Business Daily. It can be said that Huo Yuanjia's life has been summed up incisively.
