Characters experience of Xingbo
Director Xing Bo was born in an ordinary family in Hebei, China in 1980s, and was taken care of by his parents since childhood. In his personal opinion, being naughty and grumpy is the best summary of his time. Director Xing Bo admits that he is definitely not a good boy or a good student in the traditional sense. He spent his childhood and adolescence fooling around. At that time, his only ideal was to be a policeman on a bus, which he felt was the most sacred profession at that time. As for going to school, in his own words, he didn't understand why he wanted to go to school until he graduated from junior high school. It was during this period that I fell in love with movies inexplicably, and it was out of control from then on. During that time, movies became almost the only hobby. It is no exaggeration to say that liking movies at that time was the beginning of changing my destiny, that is, from then on I knew what a dream was.

In his view, there are two things in this world that need to be grateful most: one is parents, and the other is movies. His parents gave him a life unwilling to be mediocre, and the film gave him surging passion. In the process of persistent pursuit of movie dreams, the road is very tortuous and suffers from physical and mental torture. Recalling that past seems to be full of bitterness and pain. Difficulties and hardships did not weaken his pursuit of movie dreams, but he loved movies even more. However, when the dream may come and only temporarily slow down his dream pursuit, he temporarily chose to learn English. In his own opinion, learning English is a helpless move. However, the experience of learning English still benefited him a lot. During this period of learning English, he still hasn't given up his pursuit of movie dreams. He taught himself a lot of film theory books and created some film script stories. Later, it coincided with the national enrollment of the director major of Beijing Film Academy, and he took the national professional examination of Beijing Film Academy with the last-ditch idea. Unexpectedly, he became a lucky man after repeated defeats, and stood out among tens of thousands of candidates. He was successfully admitted to the director major of Beijing Film Academy with excellent national professional achievements. It took him nearly ten years to get into the highest institution of film in China.

When I was in Beijing Film Academy, I was eager to learn the professional skills of film directors, that is, I accumulated a lot of practical shooting experience, shot many advertisements, micro-movies and music MTV, and many works were invited to participate in major international film festivals around the world. My work won many important awards at the International Film Festival, and I was invited to attend the Berlin International Film Festival, one of the three major film festivals in the world, and won the Asian Film Award and the Asian Best Director Award at the Hong Kong International Film Festival. Years of practical shooting experience laid a solid foundation for future film creation.
