What's it like to have a bone marrow puncture exam? Does it hurt?
Today, I went to Peking University People's Hospital for a bone marrow puncture examination before bone marrow transplantation. I have to make an appointment with bone marrow puncture in this hospital. Take off your shoes and lie on the bed before entering the house. You need to jump your legs and arch your waist. Next, a nurse collects ear blood, and another doctor will spread a disposable cloth with a big hole on the left side of the waist to wipe and disinfect the skin, and then start playing anesthetic. As usual, the anesthetic is not very painful, and then the bone marrow is collected. I didn't feel anything when I pricked the needle, and it hurt a little when I pulled it out, but it was ok and not as terrible as I expected. The tooth extraction time is about one minute, then you can get out of bed and walk immediately, just press 10 minute, but don't take a bath for 3 days, because the wound can't get wet, and the examination results will take 7 working days. The anesthetic will disappear in 2-3 hours, and you will feel a little sore, but don't be afraid, I don't think it's as serious as a stomachache ~
