"Cross-border range hood" has now become an unprecedented industry-wide "movement". As the benchmark of manufacturing industry, the automobile industry has also shown "the responsibility of big enterprises" in this epidemic prevention and control war.
At present, three automobile companies, SAIC-GM-Wuling, BYD and Guangzhou Automobile Group, have announced the emergency production of masks in the automobile industry to fully guarantee the supply of materials in short supply for medical insurance.
Yesterday, the first batch of 200,000 masks produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling joint suppliers rolled off the assembly line. According to the unified deployment of higher authorities, these masks will be mainly used for civilian use.
BYD also expects that the masks produced by the company are expected to be mass-produced and shipped on February 17, and the production capacity will reach 5 million tablets/day by the end of this month, while the production capacity of disinfectant will be 50,000 bottles/day.
Although the planning of the equipment and production line for producing masks by Guangzhou Automobile Group is still under discussion, it is certain that the daily output of masks added by the above three car companies will reach10 million, which will greatly alleviate the current situation of "one mask is hard to find".
This has created a precedent for the global automobile industry, and it will also be the warmest moment for the automobile industry in China!
First, is it reliable for car companies to "cover"?
From building a car to making a hood, it may be an "innovation" of China automobile enterprises from the outside, but what is hidden behind it is their responsibility and responsibility in this epidemic.
Car companies use their strong resource allocation and organizational ability to provide strong backup for the increasingly tense medical materials in front-line epidemic prevention.
In fact, although a small mask seems simple, the manufacturing process and technological requirements behind it are as rigorous as producing a car.
Liu Jingzhen, chairman of China Pharmaceutical Group, said in an interview with the media earlier that the mask looks simple in workmanship, but the production process behind it is actually very complicated, involving the coordination between different manufacturers.
"For example, the steel ring with the nose in the middle is not produced by the mask factory itself, but by the upstream manufacturer; For example, the rope that hooks the ear also needs other cooperative manufacturers to support production, which is equivalent to a chain. " ? Liu Jingzhen said.
Just like SAIC-GM-Wuling, which took the lead in "transformation" this time, it teamed up with a supplier, Guangxi Deford, to produce masks.
It is reported that polypropylene, the main raw material for the production of masks, is also one of the raw materials for the production of automotive soundproof cotton. Therefore, in terms of procurement channels and storage standards of raw materials, Guangxi Defurt Group already has natural advantages, and SAIC-GM-Wuling just hit it off with its own accumulation in manufacturing and sales, which can be said to be an innovative measure in the automobile industry.
According to the planning of SAIC-GM-Wuling, after the dust-free workshop for mask production is completed, there will be 14 mask production lines, including 4 N95 production lines and 10 general medical mask production lines. It is estimated that the daily output will reach 1.7 million.
Another BYD company that is ready to join the "hood building" is more "radical". BYD said that its masks and disinfectant will be delivered in mass production around February 17. By the end of this month, its mask production capacity will reach 5 million/day and disinfectant production capacity will reach 50,000 bottles/day.
"I personally think that both SAIC-GM-Wuling and BYD have transformed their production lines to produce medical materials, which reflects the social responsibility and responsibility of these enterprises and sets an example for the automobile industry." Ren Wanfu, an automobile analyst, told Kung Fu Automobile that for manufacturing enterprises, giving full play to their own advantages in the short-term special period of medical materials can solve practical problems better than simply donating money and materials.
In fact, it is not difficult for car companies to transform a mask production line, whether it is cost or technical difficulty.
Lei Limin, president of the Professional Committee of Safety and Hygiene Protection Products of China Textile Business Association, said that the cost of a mask production line is between 200,000 yuan and 400,000 yuan according to the variety and degree of automation; The dust-free workshop necessary for the production of masks is even more important for car companies.
Second, will there be more "cross-border acquisitions" in the future?
On February 3, Tian Yulong, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that the maximum production capacity of masks in China is more than 20 million per day. According to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, based on the employment population of 20 18, the existing production capacity needs to be expanded at least 30 times to meet the current demand.
Huachuang Securities estimates that if we fully resume work, at least 530 million masks will be needed based on one mask per person per day (the consumption of medical staff in areas with serious epidemic situations such as Hubei may be more than five per day).
Yesterday, Chen Da, deputy director of the Economic and Trade Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, said at a news conference that the whole country was making every effort to increase production and expand capacity. As of February 7, the rate of returning to work of mask enterprises nationwide reached 73%, of which the capacity utilization rate of medical masks reached 87%.
It can be predicted that more and more enterprises will resume production, and with the cross-border support from all walks of life such as car companies, the supply of masks will be greatly alleviated.
In fact, now car companies should return to work in an all-round way, and they should also take the lead in protecting masks for employees' own use.
According to statistics, GAC has 1 10000 employees and needs 200,000 masks every day. BYD Group has 220,000 people to resume production and needs nearly 500,000 masks. SAIC-GM-Wuling has 25,000 employees. According to the calculation of two masks per person per day, about 50 thousand masks are also needed.
BYD told Kung Fu that there is a huge demand for masks at this stage. BYD will be mainly supplied by the government, hospitals, key regions and strategic partners after mass production in February 17. "We are actively increasing production capacity to meet greater demand in the future," BYD said.
At the same time, Guangzhou Automobile Group also said that in order to master the relevant technologies and production processes of protective mask production equipment as soon as possible, Guangzhou Automobile Accessories Technology Center sent several party member employees to Dongguan mask production equipment manufacturer Kuaiyuda for 15 days.
Although major car companies are preparing for the resumption of work at present, there is no doubt that there is still a period of time before the normal operation of enterprises. Using this time to produce masks can not only greatly help the frontline epidemic prevention work, but also ensure the safety needs of employees to return to work, which is also a "win-win" choice at this stage.
After SAIC-GM-Wuling, BYD and GAC, perhaps more car companies will participate in the front line of "hood building", and Qixin will win the epidemic prevention and control war.
Third, Kung Fu is angry.
"This dedication of the enterprise will be supported by the people, and the corporate image and brand promotion will be very obvious." Auto analyst Ren Wanfu told Kung Fu Auto.
Under the situation that the first-line epidemic prevention materials are becoming more and more tense, more and more car companies are now participating in the "production army" of masks. At present, improving the ability of epidemic prevention and control as soon as possible has become the primary task of all walks of life. The "hard-core cross-border" of automobile enterprises has undoubtedly done the best demonstration.
