Selected Poems of Tan Qian: Crossing the River

The great river is limited to the southeast, so it's a pity to lower the sail that day.

How generous Kong Wen is. After all, it is heavy to vote for him.

Long Tianhao robbed the rest of the solitary tower, and Serene scholar left the old temple.

I heard that beavers used to be stationed in Malaysia, but it was because of their delicious taste that they got oranges.

The translation is as follows:

The Yangtze River separated the north and the south with its amazing waves, and it was a shame that Wang Mingfu was reduced to the Qing Dynasty.

Although Nanming had the lofty ideal of reviving the Central Plains, the axe kings and ministers indulged in debauchery and eventually perished.

After the disaster, people were displaced after Zhenjiang was robbed of the compassion tower on the idle Jinshan.

It is said that Tuoba Tao once stationed military forces in Zhenjiang, and the Qing army invaded the south not to covet the delicious oranges.

The full text is appreciated as follows:

The first couplet of this poem is that the Yangtze River is still there and Nanming is dead. Nanjing, the "state of emperors" since ancient times, has a dangerous terrain, long mountains and rivers, lush and lush, vast rivers. Six dynasties were built here in history. After Nanming established its capital here, it did not take immediate measures to defend against the enemy. Ma Shiying was still talking about "the moat of the Yangtze River, the enemy was careless", and the axe king became a prisoner of the Qing army because of his indulgence.

When the poet crossed the river by boat, when he saw the river flowing eastward, he remembered this past, conveyed his inner feelings with "old shame" and thought of sadness from his eyes, which can be described as a blend of scenes. Taking up historical events and allusions to express the deep hatred of national subjugation is more exciting and sad than using physical objects to describe the scenery.
