After recuperating in a field hospital for half a year, Wang recovered and returned to the army. He fought with his comrades in the north and south of the river, participated in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Liberation War successively, and was injured many times.

After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), Wang served as the stationmaster and deputy stationmaster of Guizhou Civil Aviation Station, director of Guizhou Provincial Communications Department and head of Guizhou Hardware Company. 1972 Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce retired to live in Ganzhou.

Although he has been a soldier all his life, Wang upholds the true colors of the Red Army and has never made any demands on the organization on his own treatment and children's work arrangements.
